Hey that's what I'm here for :)
Looks like we have a few skiers/riders here. Good. We should set up a date or two when the season starts. NESR Nastar team anyone?
I raced NASTAR last year and it was a blast, unfortunatly due to work travel, I can't commit to the schedule. Maybe next year!:dunno:
NASTAR?! I'm in. its been a little while but I used to do it alot. I have bronze and silver medals from various mountains. Do they still give you the pin with the mt name on it if you get in the top 3 ?
I know they do race leagues at wachusett at night after work, I'll go try to find more info. But if we can get atleast 4 comited people to do it I think it would be fun.
:D
all you damn people need to move north...wait..more massholes...ok maybe not:axe:

they have a season pass that you can pick one week day and its good for that day through out the season from 9am to 10pm for $179
My vote is that we designate either tue or thu as NESR nights we can meet and ski through out the year as a standing date. I would buy a pass for one night a week.
It worked out for me in the past, I got 17 weeks in a couple years ago great way to spend an evening to unwind after work, and what a better work out.
Just bring your ski stuff to work with you and leave right from there. the mt is loaded with kids til about 7pm but they go home on the busses and you get the mt to yourselves til 10pm
They get$35 for a night pass so you only really have to go like 5 or 6 times to make it worht it and its free from there on out.
ANY takers???
whats your preference TUE or THU
Oh my vote is for tue nights.
anyone else?
I could make occasional Tuesday nights. I can just park my truck at the Alewife redline stop and blast out on rte. 2. It's a bitch leaving downtown that time of day so , I can't commit to every tuesday or thursday but I will show up a couple times a month.
Cowboyrider.....you find work in my industry in N.H. and I'll be there. Would have been there years ago. Only state in NE to live as far as I'm concerned.
Tuesdays or thursdays will work for me! Either one is fine..
Not sure If I will be any good at the Nastar, but I'll give it a try..:hellyeah:
I don't think we could actually get 4 to 6 people to commit to the race thing but we might be able to get together onccee in a while to ski after work
so tuesday nights it is then.
shall we set up a standing meet time?
does anyone else have any of those frs radio things? we could use them to get together once at the MT. the mt is planning to be open the friday after thanks giving so we could plan to start that tuesday night. usually only on one or two trails but it would be a good warm up dec 2nd.
Hey Sean , where should we meet? :dunno:  I know what time! :DQuote:

So should I get the season week night pass?? Hmmm.
I have no idea what NASTAR is...but Tuesdays work for me :)
It's like NASCAR, minus the hillbillies and the budweiser, and the cars, plus ski racing.Quote:

I work in bonds (pensions, endowments, trusts, 401k's). The only show in town is Fidelity in Merrimac. There may be smaller shops but they are not going to pay the $$$$.
We are in the same line of business :)
I deal more with the life insurance part of the business.
Have you considered an independent agent firm?
I'm in.:drink:
You might be thinking something different. When not home sick with asthma like today, I work on a bond trading floor. My skills are fairly focused, and my degree in finance really doesn't offer much more outside of this and corporate finance.
Endowments huh?? :D huh huh.... I am interested in a new career and that may help me in the industry of the "Underground Industry" :naughty :sex: :money: :69: :3some: :spit:Quote:

And they just went through another BIG round of layoffs...Quote:
