omg, like, why wasn't I invited?!?!?! :twofinger
sucks about the ticket... how much did they nail ya for?
Only 2 of us got tickets. They were only $75 for 60 in a 45. We came around a 90 decree corner that was a 30MPH zone and turned into a 45 about 1/8 mile up the road. The chief of police happened to be at the convenience store at the bend and HEARD us go by. He proceeded to chase us, I never saw him until he put his siren on. He was nice, said we were actually doing 63 and the reason he chased us was that he HEARD us 'get on it' through the turn and tear up around the corner. He clocked us when he finally caught up to us about 1.5 miles up the road.
heh, i do what i can :P.
having lots of communication going on (signals, status checks, etc) when riding in a group makes it sooooooo much better, at least IMHO, so i generally try and point stuff out as much as possible. worst case, it's a little extra energy and someone avoids a pothole they were already going to avoid... best case, well... it's helpful.
nice riding w/ you guys, sorry John Q. Law spoiled some of the fun, but otherwise those were some good roads.
sorry pete -- i'd intended it to be a pretty open invitation when i posted it last night. i'd have sent you a text message, but i don't have your number or AIM screenname if you've got one. if you'd care to join the VIP ranks of my "People Aaron Regularly Queries When He Goes For The Amazing Rides He's So Famous For" list, PM me and we'll work something out, rofl.
One last pic... kinda the same - but a better view of both Chief's vehicles! (yes that is plural - two towns baby... we are good) So yea, that's it though - I was limited. I would have pulled out the cam - but didn't think the Chief's would have appreciated a photo shoot. I had to be all sneaky...
I really had a great time!!! I don't get to group ride much, so I think I need to work on my communication skillz! So sorry about that..
Sorry you two got nailed... but Jackie - you fucking rock! It takes a lot for someone to take blame like that, and you have no idea how much I personally appreciate it... Another ticket would not have looked good on my record - not that it looks any better on yours. I owe you!:drink:
