Re: Sunday 7/26 Coastal C-pace Ride
Advice: Stay off Hampton, take route one around it. It's a traffic shit show.

Re: Sunday 7/26 Coastal C-pace Ride
PS that link with the route is all good.

Here is a quick route to avoid the traffic and police presence on the strip:

Just remember that you avoid Hampton, but Rye is hit or miss. There usually isn't much LEO presence. Before you hit O. Point just beware of the pull off spots.
That is the way I would go from Salisbury Beach to 1A through Rye, into Portsmouth and back onto 1A. Remember this will get you the most scenic of rides as opposed to taking 1 all the way.
Side note: if you look at the map you will see that I routed you onto 1B. I like 1B just because it is just something a little extra that is nice and coastal.
FANTASTIC... Thank you for the work around!!

We will be heading out on saturday morning too and I HAVE TO BE getting home at 12:30. Maybe interested in this.
I was thinking an early start, breakfast and just around the way and back?

Tomorrow morning is a definite no go...going with my Dad to pick up his new road (pedal) bike and then going riding with him. Lots going on. With Sunday, as much as I'd love to, I can't spend a whole weekend day away from the house. Especially when I'm working so many hours during the week.

Re: Sunday 7/26 Coastal C-pace Ride
If I may make a suggestion.....Don't hit up OOB. It's a tourist trap and no one from Maine goes there. I've been there once in 13 years and I'm good for another 13. Instead, spend the extra 15 minutes to come to Portland and hit up Jay's Oyster Bar off of Commercial St. That's where we locals go for real food at a non-tourist price.

a ride where we keep it at a certain pace so we don't lose the slow noobs in the back and not get pulled over and get a ticket. It may pick up a little by the end but this is a scenic route so we are keeping it slow to enjoy the scenery.

Stevo, let me know about Sushi tomorrow night, there's a sushi restaurant in our town that everyone has been telling us is amazing, we are going to go try it.

Re: Sunday 7/26 Coastal C-pace Ride
Thanks kb1ioq! I don't like to ride in the rain.

Re: Sunday 7/26 Coastal C-pace Ride
I don't like riding in Thunderstorms especially, they can be very dangerous on a bike, and hail = painful. Trust me, my fiance and I know from experience.
