Had a great day with the exception of a few small issues, but we all returned without anything major going down. Everyone came home happy, Healthy and without a ticket as far as I know?
We only made it as far a killington then decided to return towards the homestead as some people had obligations to get back early for.
Made it up to Killington in record time though!Steve helped up pick up the pace and we were in Vermont by 10:30.
I had two moments of pucker factors came into play.
The first was a 9 on the pucker scale. Traveling on rt 123 a family of Deer decided to cross the road in front of us. Me leading at the time just missed the first baby by maybe an inch? I thought for sure my day was over as the fawn was in front of my front tire, Just missed!! The second fawn in line tried so hard to stop that the little guy fell in the other lane as he put on his little hoof brakes as hard as he could. I hope he didn't get too badly rashed from the pavement.
The Second event was my fault entirely. I haven't done much of rides like this in years and have not rode 123 in the same amount of time. Well the route signs when the route turns are not always that easy to see/find. We came up on a road that I pretty much knew was the turn but wasn't 100%, it's a long wide right hander that always has sand in it, well I took it way late carrying a little too much speed when I realized that it was the correct turn. I quickly looked to my right were Lopycam was and thought to have enough room to turn so I signaled with my hand and turned in to the right, as I did this he braked and turned in with me. I slid sideways throught the sand as if I was dirtracking it, I kept the throttle in the same location and kept it smooth. I made contact with clear pavement and carried through the corner as if I ment to do that!!!
Later on 123 Steve (Disintegrator) blew past me and took the lead roll as we turned it up!Thanks Steve, we needed that! What a great time chasing you down! It's been a long time and I was definately taking it easy. I am certainly seeing the difference in why I like the track so much more. You can always be sure there is not something around the corner on the track, on the street you just have no idea, my comfort level is far different than what it once was on the street.
We hit 119-123-10N-123A(BUMPY!!!, stay away until they pave it!) back to 123-5N-103W-100N. Lunch at the Gris Mill on Rt 4 at the Killington access road. Then returned home via 100S(FAST) 30S- 100S-9-119. We broke off on 9/119 some on purpose, some because we lost a few in a line of traffic on rt30 (Sorry guys) We waited for a least 1/2 hour at the intersection of 9/119 in Burlington. Ray even back tracked to rt30 to look for you.
Great over all day!
Lets do it again soon!

Nice! Looks like a great time with a great group! Haven't been to any of the gaps yet this year...maybe a fall ride en-route to the DAKS!

I wish I made this ride, had to pick up a 5 ton truck with a friend. Anyone need to move 26 tons worth of crap?
I had a good time and it was cool to meet you guys. Mike - Glad I could help motivate you on 123!
Guess I'm a couple days late to this thread ,but oh well. Had a great time, though we picked a good time to turn around. The last hour of the ride home, I was completely beat.
The 3 of us that didn't get around traffic just kept on 9 where it split off in Brattleboro instead of going toward 119. We weren't sure where you had gotten to by that point. Meh.
