Which Mobile?? Hinesburg or Richmond...?
Printable View
We'll probly only hit the whole thing once, with a few back n' forths so Justin can get some good pictures...I was thinking that we might do the Hinesburg loop before heading out to 17, Hinesburg/Charlotte Rd to Spear St-Spear to the Vergennes Hollow Rd, then Tyler Bridge to 116, jump on the Huntington Hollow Rd and swing up to 17...do a run and some photo's, head home round 8:15...
Stop confusing people KB...jeesh!

Wait... who is taking the pictures?
I'll be bringing my camera but it sounds like someone else will be too.
Which Mobil?
Oh my. :deathslap:
The Mobil in Hinesburg
There is a Mobil there? Is that the one on the left before you hit "Town"?
If you're coming into Hinesburg from Williston it's on the left hand side just before town. It'll be on the left at the second traffic light.
Got it. Now I just have to get out of going grocery shopping.... :mope:
I'm out. My ride yesterday killed my rear. Gotta pull it off tonight. and Hopefully get it changed over tomorrow.
Think I'll <try> to make it but I have to drive from South Burlington -> Colchester before even heading in that direction.
If you don't see me by 6:35, hit the road.
Excellent evening fellas! A little chilly on the ride home though.
It was nice meeting some of you guys for the first time - Kbroderick, trouble, tsanterre. It was also good to see those of you whom i've ridden with before.
Kbroderick - Sorry i took off so soon, i was freeeeezing. But way to ride the friggn wheels off that 250 man! Scraping hard parts 2 months in!?! Damn. :beerbang:
DOC - fuckin sick ass fuckin sweeeeeeeet 998 man! Those sil-moto pipes are an aural dream... We have to make an A&W date soon before they close.
Motofreak - you gotta show me more of those roads around your way. That fresh pavement was sweeeeeet. and you have to come down here and i'll show you the goodies here.
Trouble - Thanks for taking the pictures man! Next time we have to get a riding shot of you!
Everyone else - Thanks for the good, safe riding! :shredder:

Nice to finally get out with Doc on his new baby...and guess what!?!?!?!
The bike has starting issues! Thanks for upholding your own legacy bud.
Keep it sleazy fella's, and as always, ride fast, take chances...
Great ride tonight! Not sure what happened at the end so I just kept on keeping on. Hope no one was waiting around... I was getting cold! Is it really that time of year already? :mecry:
One good thing about the Duc... It heats my ass. :D I was not cold at all.
Yep it has starting issues. I need to get a power commander... :(
Thanks for the mellow ride fellas. I have to break the Duc in and I am not 100% on it yet.
:fyi: I saw some import car guys in the Big Lots parking lot in Essex. They say the meet there every Thursday. We need to get a group of us together and crash it. :D
Hey Mike... You have a Nice Duc yourself! Thanks for complementing mine. :D
Thanks Doc. A little more time and yours will be running (starting) like a champ and i'll have mine up to speed...:naughty
Agreed, fun ride tonight.
But I couldn't figure out where everyone disappeared to at the bottom of the Gap. I couldn't keep up with Motofreak and Doc on the way down -- a V-Strom with spent tires ain't exactly a performance machine -- and I didn't know whether they turned onto Huntington Rd or kept going on 17. So I kept going on 17 and took 116 back to Burlington (best option at dusk, IMO -- less likelihood of a deer strike there than on Huntington Rd).
Caught a glimpse of Catamount going by on Rt 2 as I was sitting at the traffic light waiting to turn onto 2 from 116, but otherwise, I didn't see anyone after turning off of 17.
Definitely need to do the A&W run soon.

No biggie on taking off...I realized that you've got a bike advantage I didn't even think about earlier: headlight. I think the light output difference is comparable to the power output difference in the engine, and I figured that I wasn't going to be able to bask in the glory of managing to scrape hard parts if I ran off the road on the way home.
And, yeah, it was chilly. I thought I was in good shape once I put the liner in my jacket and switched to the non-perforated gloves. By the time I hit Pittsfield, I was thinking about stopping and putting on the rain gear just for another layer.
+1.
I volunteer to do the shooting. I brought my camera tonight but kinda overlooked pulling it out because I was having a bit too much fun riding. Naturally, if you've got an image with me throwing sparks, I'd love to see it (even if it's blurry due to lack of light or anything like that).
It was a total blast to ride the twisties with a group of better riders, even if I did have one or two "oh, shit" moments where I started watching what was going on right in front of me rather than looking through the turn. It's funny...I actually have an easier time making sure that I'm riding safely in a sketchy-ass Parade Lap because I don't trust what's going on around me. Riding with a bunch of people who aren't being stupid is tougher.
+1 on that, as well.
Good times last night. Glad to ride with you fella's. Actually, my feet touched down a couple times...but no peg scrapes....whats up with that! lol :)
Mark - Me, Bill, Justin, and Doc all took Huntington Road back.
