Is anybody interested in attending a racing school at Watkin's Glen Race track?
It's about a 5 and half hour drive to the area. I am headind out there Memorial day weekend. I happened to check out
http://www.theglen.com/ and noticed that on 5/27/02 & 5/28/02 California Superbikes School is hosting a drving school. Is anybody interested? I'm thinking of attending. The weekend shouldn't be too expensive, and there are a few beds available. I think I can work something so that we woudln't have to be put up in a hotel. Let me know.

I guess it's a one day course for $395. That's a lot more than Loudon. Loudon is an Oval track correct? Watkins Glen is a road course, It has 11 turns and three straight aways. The two longest are 2040' and 1839'. You can easily reach 140 or 150mph.

140... thats it? Going fast isn't just about the school. Cornering is the main topic. Loudon is not an oval. It has like 12 corners.

Anyone can RIDE a 1000 cc bike...
But, can you HANDLE one????
My tiller hit 151 mph on the rev. limiter in 5th gear...with a sports gun recording it's speed...I had a lapse of common sense!
But it was on rt 95, with a clear run.
gotta get rid of that 43 tooth sprocket..it's slowing me down! What? I had another gear to go??? DAMN!
Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
anyone who wants to come to Watkins Glen is more than welcome to stop by, and get a free meal or even stay here. I can hear them run at the track from my house
