I am heading up tomorrow , camping friday and saturday with a bunch from the
ADV site , I will be at white horse on saturday , randy, you going ?
. shouldn't be too cold in the tent, temps in the 40ies and scattered showers. think I'll bring 2 sleeping bags

original plan was to stay at the beach camp area but last minute change in plans due to some water pipe issues we have to move down the road to the saco river camp area , and no I won't have the spud gun, too much other stuff packed on the bike, like warm stuff for the 40 deg nights .

Cool place...wanted to stock up on books and DVD's but they were a little pricey, and I didn't want to sweat all over them in my leathers so may do an online order... Never seen so many adventure bikes in my life!

Great turnout







After I left WhiteHorse, I went to visit a friend/client who wasn't home so I went for a ride around the "block" (west side road, Rt 302, Bear Notch Road, Kanc, Passaconway Rd) but Bear notch Road was still closed for winter

so I decided to check out Jefferson Notch Road, that turned out to also be closed, BUT surprisingly, Mt Clinton Road was open


it only got worse from the photo and the rest of my photos didn't save correctly the debris in the road only got worse, many widow makers hangin over the road

I left with another guy after lunch , we ran up and down hurricane mt rd , did a few dirt road/trail type things , then went around the gate at bear notch and had a clean spirited run up and back , only saw a couple people on mt bikes, and a guy 2 up on a drz coming the other way . looks like it had been paved with in the last year or so, it was smooth .

I went up on Saturday, great turnout. I didnt buy much, just had my backpack with me. Went riding on the kanc, this was my first time up there, had an awesome ride.

As I was riding out 302 to Bartlett, I still hadn't made up my mind whether I wanted to ride Bear Notch or Jefferson Notch, whe I saw the gate closed, I decided to try Jefferson Notch. but didn't go around the gate there cause of the condition of Mt Clinton Road, and the weather had turned for the worse, it was quite wet

RandyO, you got a picture of part of my face and toes just before the woman let me know I had to go get a meal ticket. Didn't even see the sign for it looking at all the bikes around. Luckily she let us dummies go right back to the front. Was heading to Bear Notch without rain gear when a good rain made me go to Maine instead. Awesome day.
