This week’s EPIC write up!
We had a Record high of 74 bikes show up this week!
Over all an amazing night! There were so many bikes and conversations and people that no matter what your preference, there was someone there to talk to. I was riding around Montpelier in the morning and pulled over to had a guy a card and invite him to bike night, and then he showed up!John was advertising us on his radio show again on WWPV, 88.7 FM. So a quick shout out to JohnCVermont
We had around 40 of the bikes all leave at exactly the same time and they created this kind of cool traffic jam (and we kept the noise to a minimum for the most part). Right as they were getting ready to head out a Winooski cop pulls down the street and I went over to say hi. He was super nice and said it was really cool to see such a large turn out!I love that Winooski PD loves us!……But when squids start reving their bikes….it’s all of our responsibilities to politely remind them that we have neighbors and that we have to keep the noise down.
We had a fun debate about what constitutes a free soda…..can-am spiders, mopeds, trikes…..? but the guy who showed up on the funny moped-esc little thing I think got free soda anyways.
Some people want to head out on the earlier side so Jason brought a group to the creemee stand, and then Mark and I led the second group around 7:40ish. I had my friend Becky perched and waiting on one of the corners to try and get some cool action shot….but she normally does still life…..any guess as to how that turned outBut she’s going to practice with me and we’ll see if eventually we can grab some cool pictures of people on their way to the creemee stand
When we actually arrived at the creemee stand (I love you mark) They were out of Rainbow Sprinkles! WTF!?! But we made do…..and then I released a methane cloud that not only cleared out the entire table….but floated over to the window and hit tommy and friends…and then floated back….
It was so bad the Mark was like “What the fuck! That was you Parker? I swear I thought a sewer main had broken or something….holy shit!”
Anyways, we missed Adam this week because his dumb ass was in Maine, but next week he promised to bring me some gas-exwhen he comes so that we don’t have another hair curling event
See you guys next Tuesday!

Are you talking about the Ruckus? Because he deserves a soda. I want a Ruckus, but I don't really know why.We had a fun debate about what constitutes a free soda…..can-am spiders, mopeds, trikes…..? but the guy who showed up on the funny moped-esc little thing I think got free soda anyways.

Been awhile since I made it to bike night but even back then I was one of the, 2? 3? that actually was head to toe in race gear. I guess no one else caught on.
Of course if I lived 15 minutes away and bike night wasn't the conclusion of a 350 mile day, that might have been different.

We actually get around 20 people that show up in gear...i know Adam and I used to show up in shorts, and now we ride in full gear....i just barely completed the outfit by buying a pair of Sidi Vertigos.
The hardest part about gear is helping the quids see that no one ever plans on crashing, and if you go down....that T-Shirt isn't doing shit..... but we continue to show up and fight the good fight....and we can usually convert a select few who hear the message....

You're still a loser for missing our biggest turnout as of yet, and reducing our numbers by 1.![]()

yeah.... lots of new people. But you know what? That is why we are here. To help encourage them (without being pricks) to ride and dress more safely. We had one guy I mentioned (kindly) to a few weeks ago about the right gear and not starting on an over sized bike for his first bike (1000RR) and the poor guy didn't listen and will be out of work for another month or two recovering from multiple to the bone pavement rash spots....
We don't want to drive them away but by encouraging and wearing the gear ourselves mb we can keep a few others out of er.
