FYI to anyone thinking about purchasing bike stands. After going back and forth on which stands to buy I finally decided on the Black Widow stands. I was a little concerned about these because of the price point...it was surprisingly low. To my total amazement these stands are really solid. Nice powder coat and good wheels as well. The price was about $125.00 after tax and shipping from discountramps.com. That price gets you front and rear stands with a couple of options on how you want them setup (spools, pegs etc). I saw other places with good pricing but they were cheap looking with two or more sections you put together with pins and such. These are one piece with beefy looking welds. To sum it up, these are as close to a set of Pit Bull stands as you're going to get for half the price. Well worth it.![]()
Bursig!!!!! Costs an arm and a leg but no comparison.

If you are getting both good quality front & rear stands with flexible end-attachments to suit your bike for $125 total (tax, S & H), it sounds good.
With a referral from Yesterdayze, I recently paid about $45 (total) (I round up to the nearest $5) for a decent front stand which did the job well, but I wish I could have the option of pegs to lift the forks to make the various bits of "wrenching" a little easier. That said, I am quite satisfied with my purchase. Whenever, I have the opportunity, I do try to purchase the best quality...if the budget allows.
It sounds your needs & standard are a little higher than mine. (sign of wisdom) Check out the "Garage-Challenged" thread for a picture & links.
Good luck with your quest... let us know what you discover & decide.

I have the Black Widow universal front stand. That being said I know pit bull is the big name around here. All I can offer is I have used this stand for 3 years now without incident. No mishaps keeping the big ZX stable for repairs and storage. They get my vote

That would be great, I need something better for my avatar. I did see the old one btw. I think it's really cool that you take pics of bike night. I tell people to "check out NESR / Vermont events if they want to see what bike night is about, there's a guy that takes pics". It's one more way to draw them in and get them to show up.
I gave a guy a card yesterday and he showed with 2 other buddies today.![]()
