Bill just isn't as dedicated to the game as he should be. . . . Anyway I think I have a good idea of where this one is. If I wasn't hitting up T******************* Road tomorrow I'd be all over it. Perhaps in the afternoon or Sunday. . .
It's okay, Bill, maybe another tag...

Hey whatever happened to our friend on the Ninja 250? This new tag is right where he lives... or lived.
Yeah, I've been wondering what became of KB too. Anyone heard from him?

New Tag:
Hint: It's between Johnson and Stowe. . . . GO!
I know where it is but don't have a bike reliable enough to get me there (and back)!
/waits for you to update Google map before updating your score.
As it happens, Lester and I were talking about just this issue last week. The Icelandic volcano wreaked havoc on parts deliveries (which are already known to be pretty slow from Triumph as it is). Any kind of quickly-needed parts that aren't in stock in the US (which can be a lot of them because apparently they don't keep much stock) need to be air-freight-shipped from the UK, and with nearly a week's worth of flights grounded, everything is seriously backlogged.

Haha I thought so, I dont really post much on BHW anymore, just browse in from time to time. My name on there was thesinistersinger, you know, the guy who kept pestering all the hardcore kids (aside from josh) with folk/viking metal all the time
I just seemed to remember you mentioning your bike(s) on BHW a while ago, and noticed them in your sig....I think it was the "--mark" that gave you away though![]()

Somehow I missed both of the posts directly referencing me. I've been slow getting back to riding mode from ski mode, not helped by my less-than-a-year-old battery deciding that, no, being on a tender was not good enough, it was done. So back it went, and BatteryJack did send me a new battery under warrantee (a plus); it just took them two weeks (not so much plus). So I've gotten out a few times now, hoping to be fully switched to two-wheeled transport for the duration of the summer soon.
I'm thinking that I'm not going to be spending much time on the track this summer--I spent a bit too much money that way last year, and I'd really like to do it right (track bike with real suspension, enclosed trailer, etc) if I was going to continue doing that...and I can't afford to go that route right now.
I am, however, shopping for a bike that is, in many ways, as different from the EX250 as possible. I'm looking at the R1100 and R1150GS in search of a well-loved, cosmetically imperfect, and reasonably-priced ride. (yeah, good luck, I know). I've come to the conclusion that blasting around New England secondary roads, as well as not-quite-secondary roads, is a big part of what I'd like to be able to do. Having more power than Maria's F650GS (not because it's my girlfriend's bike, but because I felt like it was only a significant, not a huge step up from the EX250 in passing ability, given the EX's much greater RPM window), the ability to ride some less-than-maintained roads, and have real hard luggage--all while still being able to enjoy twisties--led me to the GS's, and the R1100 and 1150GS seem to fit the bill (the R100GS would be preferable in some ways, particularly weight, but most of 'em are more expensive than the later models).
