Race 2, HWSS= 1st place
I felt much more comfortable on the bike. Ofcourse after having a dry morning practice, it had to rain for the race. Although I'd much rather race in dry conditions, I don't really mind racing in the wet. A race is a race.
I got a descent start and I believe I had the lead before the end of the first lap. I got in a rythym and put in some decent laps, but towards the end i got a little to conservitive and it almost cost me. oh well....

Race 1, GTO=1st place
after having a disappointing morning practice, where i could only manage 20's, I was looking forward to the race. I started in the 5th row. I think I was in third by turn 2 and in the lead by the time we hit the bowl. I think? Anyway at the starting line, all that was goin through my head was Mick saying "get in the lead and run from them Fooker's". So I did just that. I rode that bike like i never had.....by halfway, I decided to have a look over my shoulder to see who was with me. There was no one there, but I'm thinkin, "maybe I didn't get a good enough look, I think I hear someone". I would take a look at the fence, waiting for someone to give me a signal. but I would look at them, and they would just be looking at me What happened to the pit-boards? anyway I just pushed as hard as I could til the end. taking the win by a narrow margin...
race 7, HWSB=2nd place
I was looking forward to this race. I knew I had Michael (#588) and PM (practice man) to contend with. Both of them can run 18's, so I wanted to beat them. I started on the 3rd row, but i knew those guy's would be coming. I got into the lead real quick, but before I knew it, Michael passed me. I followed him around for a couple of laps. It was good, because he exposed my week spots. Unfortunately the race was red flagged. We re-started 1st and 2nd. I got a jump on him and led a lap, but they threw the red flag again and stopped the race. That sucked, because I was looking forward to battling with him.
All in all, it was a good weekend, but i'm still not satisfied......
peace:
