Hey man, I don't have experience with metal flake yet - I don't think it's really an issue, but i'm in between paint booths right now. I will be busy the next couple months anyway, but will hopefully have a spot to paint in again for the off-season.

I believe it is just like spraying a coat between the base and clear. I will keep an eye here.

Got a paint question to ask you guys:

I need a front fender, and found a place that has ABS plastic fenders cheap.. cheapest I can find. Anyways I can live with Black color, and the abs comes in black. He said if I wanted to.. all I'd have to do is buff it a little more, and throw some rattle can clear (or get a paint shop to put a clear on it) And it'll be the same.

True or False? I don't need it in showroom condition, but I don't want it to look ghetto!

Damn... cracks in the entire plastic or the painting?

I'm looking at around $140 for the OEM plastic fender.. or $40 shipped for the ABS one. I'm waiting out on ebay for a used one though.. I'm hoping for that one..
