    #505 Straight cash homey

Short version: Finally got a chance to run all weekend. Finally got to race some people. Took a 3rd, 2 4ths a 5th and a DNF.

Thursday: Head up bright an early to do practice, sign up for the all day. Have fun on the new track. In the afternoon FINALLY got to race some people since I've been riding alone for the past couple weeks. Chase Lorna on her SV for a while, finally pass her going into 1, never saw her again, good times. Had a fun little battle with Denno. Passed him on the brakes in 3 places, he pass me on the exit in 3 places, then he ran out of gas on the straight. I was mad at him for ruining my fun.
Fri: I think I practiced? I cant remember, I think it was wet
Race 5 super singles: Got the hole shot, get passed by the usual crew. One of them must've crashed, cause I got a third, got wood (or glass as the case may be) good times.
Race 8 ULSB: Got the holeshot again, cruise around till the tards pass me. At one point in 1 feel something hit my exhaust, look back and see Big Rick sliding into the grass, ooops. He says I stood it up at the apex a bit and hit his shoulder with the exhaust, I dont remember doing it, but I know ive done it in the past. Cruise in third for a while, then Bob Stone and Kevin Quinn pass me, FINALLY keep someone in sight of me and chase them down. Finish 5th. Come into the pits and everyone starts asking why I gave up at the end. My laps were consistent, so I need to work on why it looks like I gave up. Fun fact: My out lap was .775 seconds slower than my best lap. I really need to work on something
Saturday: Practice drop my personal best of a 1:26.4. Finally make my goal of beating my best time on the EX. New goal: hit a 24 by the end of the year.
Race 2 Motard: Go out, I think I got the holeshot. Keep seeing an orange tard behind me, think its Daniel, after the red flag glance back at 9, I see fucking Kurlon staring at me with a big goofy grin in his helmet, talk about a fucking double take. Way to go buddy! Take a 4th behind the usual 3.
Race 6 LWSM. starting from the second row since they gridded Daniel at pole for some reason, blow by him on the start, but lose to the usual 3 into 1, chase them til a red flag. They regrid so I start on the front row, but BLOW the start, go into 1 in 2nd, keep the other two at bay for a while, but they get by me. Keep getting glances of daniel behind me, manage to keep him at bay, take another 4th.
Sunday: practice in the wet, some weird issues with the tires and the chain catching the grooves in the bowl. never really ridden on rains before, and never in the driving rain. Drop a 42 in practice, not bad. Decide to race
Race 2: LWSB. Keep with a pack of bikes, some of them holding me up REAL bad but dont have the confidence to try to get them on the brakes. Red flag, after the red the bike starts acting funny, and hesitating, try to figure out if Im in a wrong gear and bogging, still doing it. Figure some water got somewhere, pit in, DNF whatever.

Awesome weekend, dropped a PB, met my first goal for the year, managed to keep the 3 tards I've been chasing all year in sight for 3-4 laps, so I'm starting to catch them which makes me happy.

Oh, and I got to see jro's sister. You'll notice I said SEE and not meet, because someone didnt introduce us!

Thanks to the usual crew, you all know who you are.

New goal: 24s by the end of the year.

And if anyone has a email address for #451 Jason Cavenaugh, please lemme know.

That was the red flag when I almost ran over Barber. And it was, looks like you rode through the grass somewhere. I was just asking if you cause the red flag.

Good riding this weekend Richie. I told you on Friday you looked better and whaddyaknow, you had a new PB and stuff. Could tell you were more aggressive in the corners and throwing it around. Keep it up.
