Like I say, I dont give a fuck, I just like giving you a hard time.
I like defending something that shouldn't matter either way haha.

I was under the impression manual scoring was at the line, and therefore I would be doing more like 106 mph. I totally could see while panning, one's eyes could cross at those speeds and my bike could look like #151353 that could cause problems

NP. Thanks for not taking it the wrong way.

"slap to the face" was best way to describe what I was trying to convey. You get the idea thou.

I don't see what the big deal is, if he goes to tech and they ask him to change them it's a pain in his ass and he'll probably do so. I definitely think the numbers should be legible though (not saying they aren't). That said, I ran numbers with a brush script font for about a full season and it was never even mentioned to me. The only issue I have is anybody arguing FOR illegal numbers...if you want to run them fine, its the officials call...just don't argue with the officials if they tell you they need to be changed.

In Daytona I had a small serif on the top part of the "2"...they just cut it off with a pocket knife without even asking me. This is one reason I would highly recommend not having numbers under the clear coat.

To belabor this point I would highly recommend not putting ANY decal under the clearcoat on a race bike.

Obviously it looks SOOOOO much better that way but you're just making work for yourself when you wreck...

Though I will mention kit, that if you plan to race elsewhere, like Daytona (or apparently a WERA event)... there's a chance you may just get DQ'd after the fact or something. I was surprised at how meticulous tech was down there.

Just something to keep in mind. That may be why you caught so much flak on the wera board.

    Re: #53 :)

After discussions with christopher, I have agreed to not run any numbers that are a danza slap to pre-novices. him and I worked diligently on this new design (richie, could you please O.K. the #1?)

Note the creativity we have when we work together - morse code, telephone cord, lightning all crammed into a 10" x 12" box (see side scale for reference)

thanks for the heads up... I'm nto sure if i'll be making away races this year yet, but I definitely gathered they are more strict down south from the wera board.

Kitt just like to be a rebel.

My only issue was the whole "everyone else is getting away with it" point of view.

I get this from my troops on occasion. I tell them just because someone else is wrong doesn't mean you should be as well.

My only other point is that isn't there talk of changing where numbers can be located? Like on the fairing and on the tail?

i asked BJ about this before the banquet. at the banquet he told me they are following the CCS rulebook on the subject. he didnt know why it didnt get announced though

    B. Side displays may be painted on rear body work only if that body
work presents a basically flat surface of adequate area. Otherwise, a
10 by 12 plate must be mounted. The side plate must be mounted on
the seat or tail section and to the rear of the rider. Mounting must be
high enough to insure that the number is clearly visible when the
machine is leaned (cornering) without interference caused by rider
    extremities or machine parts.
(1.) If the tail section profile does not allow the machine to comply with
Section 5.3.5.B, the side number displays MAY be placed on the side of
the fairing in front of the rider as long as the number displays are clearly
visible while the rider is in the racing position If the rider chooses to
place the side number display on the fairing, a single number display on
the top of the tail section must also be installed and orientated to be read
from the rear of the machine.. It is the rider’s responsibility to have the
number display correct before coming to Tech Inspection
