As far as the Loudon Classic, the ASRA Team Challenge is coming to the track for the first time. I haven't seen the final schedule so I don't know what day it is during the Classic.
Does everyone on the team need the AMA membership or just one person?

I'm no stranger to Maddie...or this race. I think I'm out of luck in the license department though.

After much cajoling, I'll just put the 5 minute board up and laugh at the sight of y'all scrambling to go out for the warm-up lap. Grid positions? There aren't any. With Frontier Land Qualifying I'll grid you as you arrive. First guy to arrive gets pole. Ask Roland. Canadian Start: After I have you lined up on the hot grid I'll step out in front and hold up a big Canadian flag I got down in Daytona last March. I'll march off to the side while holding up the flag and when I flick it, off you go! Anybody who jumps the start and runs me over will be immediately disqualified.
Yeah, last year was an interesting start for me. I was probably the only one paying attention at the 5 board, so when it went up, I took off to secure my favorite grid position. (Johnny's pointing me towards 1A, but I absent mindedly ended up in 1D). By time I get there, the rest of the field wakes up and start pitting out for their warmup lap. As I wait on the grid, I notice my temps rising. Not wanting to start a 3ish hour race with an overheating bike, I shut it off with the plan on re-bump starting it at the 1 board. Well, notice how the 1 board no longer figures in this starting procedure. When Johnny finally has the grid ready and he starts walking off the track, that's when I figure I should start pushing my bike back to give me room to bumpstart without crossing beyond my grid mark. Well, as I'm pushing my bike back, the green flag flies and the whole field except me takes off! I immediately start Flintstoning it forwards to get the bike started and put my head down to catch up to the field. What an awesome way to start a race!

You could fix that next weekend.

Finish the story Roland. What happened between getting that thing started and rounding T12 again?

Well, I was quite pissed at myself for letting my team down that early in the race, so I push hard to make up as much as I can on that first lap. I do get the bike started and charge into T1 catching up to the field. As everyone checks up when the field bunches up, I sweep around the outside to pick a few of them off. I fall in line for 1A, and set up to pass another bunch outside of 2, setting me up to out-brake another group inside of T3. Climbing the hill, I start looking for the next group to pass, but I don't see them. Around the bowl, through the back section, and down the hill around T9, still no one in sight. When I negotiate T12 and see no one in the front straight, that's when I realize I'm leading! Greatest first lap in my racing career!

Yeah you were there! You almost got us disqualified for passing on a yellow!

Re: Attention In The Haddock! - Big Fish Small Pond 3ish Hour Endurance Race
Ooops, Good thing I was able to more than make up the 15 second penalty. I still got something for you whippersnappers!

Re: Attention In The Haddock! - Big Fish Small Pond 3ish Hour Endurance Race
LOL
I'll steer clear of your 125 missile. Afraid you'll pilot that thing into me and because it's a 125 it'll just bounce off and you'll be your merry way, haha.
But I jest. As much as I want to go on the 11th, unless I can get on a team. I'm not going :(

Re: Attention In The Haddock! - Big Fish Small Pond 3ish Hour Endurance Race
And with the kind of closing speeds I had, avoiding that pass would have been far more dangerous.

Re: Attention In The Haddock! - Big Fish Small Pond 3ish Hour Endurance Race
Sounds like I'll be there.. basking in AC, using my fingers and toes.
-
Re: Attention In The Haddock! - Big Fish Small Pond 3ish Hour Endurance Race
pretty doubtful now that I will be attending and Emily's bike will not attend in my absence.
I was really looking forward to this event too.

Yeah, I was busting the Referee's balls on that penalty. Something along the lines of him being awfully lenient to his future son-in-law. :P

Re: Attention In The Haddock! - Big Fish Small Pond 3ish Hour Endurance Race
I thought a 15 second penalty was a little harsh given my "position". ;)
