It's almost go time. Sunny and warm with a nice cool breeze. FINALLY the weather gods have shined upon us.
You sandbaggers on Gino's hawk win this thing or what?
That was an unreasonable amount of fun. Huge thanks to Adam and Emily for letting me ride their Hawk, what an awesome day!
Lots of fun! As Jay said, I can't thank the Butlers enough for their hospitality and sharing Mattie!

The weather came around in the end and we had almost perfect conditions for this race. As was said above. This is a stupid amount of fun. Thanks to my team mates for racing your hearts out for third place...

Thanks to the USCRA for running this event again. As with last year, it was an absolute blast!
The race started close, we were ahead for the first 45 minutes, then fell a lap down due to the Dark Side's quicker pit stop and smaller number of stops. Then, at one point 2/3 of the way in, we were back on the lead lap and Gino was in sight of Jake to catch him. Then another stop put us behind.
What an absolute blast! Thanks to Gino for allowing us to ride a Henry-less Hawk. Thank to the Hawk for running on a single battery for 3 hours with its total loss electrical system (we bumped started when shutting off the engine for refueling). And thanks to Christian for providing the ultimate vintage leathers.
