this place is a similar setup to Monticello, for those who had an opportunity to ride there.
it's a private car club with two tracks and a kart track. South is around 2 miles and North is 1.47.
we raced in the North track this time. it's totally flat, but easy to learn. There was no friday practice and Saturday practice required rain tires.
there's no power at the facility, so you'd need a generator. also there's no spectator bleachers.
cool thing is you're less than an hour from Chicago, so you can go check out the city at night.
another cool thing was the 5 hour car endurance race on the South course from 5:30pm - 10:30pm. lots of fancy cars racing with headlights on. oh yea, no lights on the track either.
so if you're out in the area, it's a cool track to try. but i wouldnt make a 17 hour road trip for it.
