Saturday night i loaded up the bikes in the trailer
Here is a view of my new shop that im working out of!
So i left this morning at 430am and headed upto VIR. For some reason i had bad mojo about comming up today. I arrived at the track at about 645 and began to unload. To start the day off right with a dead batteryI get the jump box and it runs so i throw the bike on the battery tender. I procede over to registration and register for LW GP, LW SB, ULSB. Bring the bike through tech and the battery dies again. Granted it was only charging for about 15 minutes or so. push it back to my pit area [which was pretty close] and throw it back on the tender.
I went out for practice and everything was off. its been 2 months since ive last ridden and 3 months since ive been here. i was extremely unthrilled with how the only practice session for the day went.
After practice i get a new set of Diablo Superbikes [Yellow Front/Blue Rear] and get them mounted up. i spend the next few hours taking a nap in the truck. since team challenge was on track for 2 hours. I get ready for race #5 LWGP. Warm up lap feels great. alot better then practice did. Green flag drops and off we go. i get passed alot. whatever, im here to have some fun. On lap 4 going into Turn 1, As soon as i hit my brake marker the bike goes into a false nuetral. So while try not to shit my self, i try to slow down as much as possible. Not gonna happen apparently. Off into the grass at about 70mph. thats about my guess. I try to ride it out. yeah that didnt work. hit a bump and the rear came out, so i lowsided. while sliding the bike grabbed something on the ground and flipped up. well, being that i still had my legs around it, i also went flying. i promptly cushioned my fall with my head. i got up and the corner workers were asking if i was alright i gave them the thumbs up. a quick survey showed my fairing bracket broke, shift rod was bent, exhaust bolts were gone. wtf?. and that i had about 47 lbs of dirt and grass stuck on the left side. so that ended my day.
I have a pretty decent headache, body is now becomming sore. ill be alright in a few days. bike is fixable as well so thats all good.

Glad you're alright bro... T1 at vir is a scary place to have things go wrong on the way in haha. The bike looks decent overall though... could have been much worse.

Good to hear you came out alright from the crash. I hate false neutrals!! Many a pucker moment has been created from them.
I'll bet the bolts on your exhaust sheared off when the bike was tumbling. Glad you flew far enough away from the bike to avoid it.
Good luck witht the rest of your season away. Keep the posting coming so we can race vicariously with you.
