there is a big hoo-haa going on now within the LRRS racers forum about cornerworkers. The problem is that cornerworkers are very scarce and it could delay racing and practice this year if we don't have enough.
The track runs cornerworking classes every friday morning and saturday morning I believe on race weekends. You could work 1/2 day, 1 day, all the weekend, whatever you choose. You get your gate entry paid, additional pay (not much, I think $20 per day) and you lunch paid for.
It would be really cool to say that NESR racing would supply a corner worker for every race weekend for at least 1/2 day. I am willing to do my part in this, anyone else? You don't have to be a racer (obviously) or a team member. Anyone can do it and it really gives you an insight into cornering techniques and a very close-up view of the track.
Maybe one of our pit crew could corner work (taking it in turns) for a day each weekend and give fedback to the NESR racers about how our cornering is compared to other people in that corner.?
Maybe the Double-Apex guys can make a commitment also?
