Crazy weekend but still fun

I took Friday off from work and left for the track early with intentions of getting some bike prep stuff done and doing the afternoon practice. I spent a beter part of the day drilling holes for safty wire on the new toy, with a few break-in test rides out behind the track mixxed in.
Clouds were moving in fast as registration for practice drew closer, i think i'll pass on this one and ride the 450 out back a little more
As soon as the first practice session went out, the skies opened up. This was the start of 24 hours of pretty hard rain. The track did dry out pretty quick after the first show and they did get some dry time in..
Bob M and i did some dirt riding later on out back, that shit was fun even tho i had a hard time keeping the front wheel on the ground.. haha
Rain all night long, wet 8:30am practice, wet 10:00am practice, could it get any worse? I had DOT tires for the flood race #5 so i was pretty excited to get out thereThe standing water on the track was amazing, the pond in turn 6, the river in 9, and the lake in 12. The water in 12 had to be a foot deep and seeing the bikes in front of you leave a wake going through was kinda funny. I finished in last place (4th)
The track was still a bit damp in the first practice on Sunday and you could see the dirt trail left from the sweeper. Started and finished both practices and had some fun out there
A little more dirt riding later on with Sean and Leah was fun, nice new toys you 2 have
Race #11 I got an ok start and had a pretty uneventful first 3 or 4 laps. Someone showed me a wheel going into 3 and i ended up going a little wide, i think i got passed by like 10 bikes from that point to turn 6. I was sure i came in second to last place when i finished the race. I went back to the pits, loaded up my shit and went to head out. A few of us had plans to stop at Makris to eat so Sean, Leah and myself left while Bob M and Nancy went to pick up Bobs trophy's. Turns out i got 3rd place out of 8 in my class and i got a trophy
Had a fun weekend even with the rain on Saturday and it was great to see everyone. See ya in 2 weeks
