Guy, I suggest you finish putting your own race bike together first !!!!
I'm only kidding my little bundle of babby crap.
By the way were you drunk the other night or can I really have those race tires with one race on them? If so I will switch them with another set of tires that I have if you need tires on the rims, and I might even buy you some drinks if the wife ever lets me go out again.

    Degsy,
I never knew you were a jack of all trades!!!!! nice job on that peice. Keep that welder ready, if Gerard starts off the 2003 season the way he ended in 2002 you will be using it a lot (HAHAHA).

    You're right, I am NOT a welder.

BTW, the bike is looking even worse now.

But his frame is aluminium and you need a special welder set up for that.

High power mig with aluminum rods and a whole lot of skill. Cast aluminum is a bastard to weld.

    Race bike

    Hey Degs,

You and I seem to have the same damn problem, My track bike looks just like yours does...stripped down and at this point...useless. Good thing we have till the spring to get these things ready for action...only to be crashed again. Well, I know I am going to be crashing due to the ugly fact that I am a maniac. I love to push it to the edge as much as possible. But hey, isn't that what racing is all about? Good luck with your bike Degs, Look forward to seeing the finished product in the spring.

Racing is taking advantage of other Peoples mistakes on the track. Learn your opponents weakness, does he alway run a certain corner wide? Set yourself to pass him at this point, you have many laps to run. Running on the edge, all the time, is not very smart. It is a sign of immaturity. Using your brains, and driving a SMART race is the way to win. Only people who drive reckless, and on the edge are either Pros who get paid millions of dollars because they have the capabilities to do so, and still drive smart, or people who keep ending up donating pieces of their bike on the outside of the bowl.

I like what you said. Why and the hell didn't you post something like that last year before I sent myself flying into the gravel while exiting the bowl. I was following a Junior rider around at a practice session and found out the hard I was having troubles keeping up.

Well Said Mark. Its like yoda teaching young skywalker. He will learn patience and how to ride a smart race. You can't win if you don't finish.

    Steering stem all painted.

You wouldn't be able to tell it was ever damaged.

    forks

Good morning Gentlemen. Hope you all had a good weekend. I have a question to ask you all. Scottie and i are doing the fork seals currently on my YZF. When we loosened the bolt on the bottom of the fork to pull the spring assembly out, it worked for one side and not the other. It sounds like something is spinning inside. We larched on to anything on the top that could possibly be spinning but no luck guys. Anyone have any thoughts on what the issue may be??? I would be very appreciative.
