Doc, shit deal man. Heal fast. Sorry to hear about this.
You seemed in good spirits considering. Glad it wasn't worse for you.
Heal up!
Aww shit. Sorry to hear about it Doc. Heal up fast and get back out there. :)
Ahh man, I didn't realize you had even gone down when I waved and stuff as you were leaving. Definitely takes the wind out of the sails but heal up quick bud.
Don't let a few isolated incidents here and there sway you completely. When it comes to racing the difference between a "bonehead move" and a clean pass is decided at 100+ mph in 1/1000th of a second... sometimes things just don't go as planned, even for a seasoned expert like Scott. It sucks, but that's just the nature of the beast. In general though it really isn't bad...
Your right, Its not for everyone. you assume these risks by getting on the track in a non-trackday enviroment. you can also go down hitting a spot of water (or dirt blown on the track by a back hoe).
It sucks what happened to DOC I am glad it was not worse. Throwing around blame is Useless.
Its a race practice You are practcing racing.
Damn Doc. That sucks. Heal up soon and I'll see you at the race track.
The Kawi was a buddy of mine's but yeah that was us trying not to get soaked. Did'nt matter much because we got dumped on on the ride back to Boston.Quote:
Were you sitting under the bleachers toward the end of the day with a green Kawi?
Sorry to hear about that, Doc. Good luck healing up quick (I've heard plenty of clavicle stories go both short and long, and I'm not sure if there's anything you can do to keep it on the short side).
at least your ok...you still owe me $10:D
One minute you're suiting up to go out and the next minute you're walking back from the Medical Building in a sling.
I wanted to hug you when I saw you all slinged up....maybe next time but for now, here's an interweb hug:
:hug3:
Heal up soon, bro.
that sucks! i'm sorry to hear that you'll be out the rest of the season. Are you still planning on coming down to hang out? if not, we need to get together this summer.
yo doc, I had the unique perspective of watching the whole thing from the tower, I was up there during the corner worker school. We saw the whole thing, we *knew* it was coming when those two flew in there. Its been a couple of days and my memory is a bit foggy, but I recall thinking "well those guys are going entirely way too fast" followed by "he's def gonna hit him, yep...he hit him." Had no idea it was you down there and I was so bummed to see you bandaged up :( And I'm of the opinion it was totally avoidable and particularly unnecessary in a practice session. Hope you heal up fast Doc.
Heal up Doc.
I feel your pain with not racing from an injury.
I as well was "Mountain Biking" when I crashed, as my hospital file says.
Heal up quick Doc!
Damn, those mountain bikes are dangerous!
One time when I broke my clavical I had a waterbed and I could not get out of it. It was terrible. I would bring a six pack to bed. After a while because the spine is out of alignment my back hurt just as bad. Are you coming up to the track this weekend?
They tried to get me into that Mountain biking when I lived in VT, but I said "NO WAY, It's just too damn dangerous!" Lucky me!
Heal up well. I was looking foward to seeing you up that the track this summer...
UPDATE
Saw the Ortho Specialist today and had another Xray.
The Good news is no surgery! She said that if I was an elite athlete then she would do surgery but since I am not even a mediocre athlete it wasn't advisable
She said I won't be 100% until at least September. Looks like I need to work on the wife to let me attend the Fall Roundup :woot:
So does that mean you're looking for someone to race your bike for you?
:naughty
I might know a guy...
