I heard Bautista's top speed was 320kph, wonder if it's affected much by speed in the last corner onto the straight or pretty much drag/rpm limited?

I bet it was her ovaries that slowed her down.

Then how the heck are you so fast?Originally Posted by OreoGaborio
especially when you're hitting 190 like her and over 200 like the regular riders. at those speeds wind drag has a huge effect on terminal speed and even tucking your elbows in a bit further makes a difference.
I'm curious to see her times also. I think they are probably pretty impressive considering she only had the handful of laps on an unfamiliar course.

not at all.. I'd be pumped for her if she was only 6mph slower around the entire track... But top speed down the straight is a very poor analysis of how well anyone did... hence why I am curious for a lap time!
If she was only 6mph everywhere on the track (doubtful) she'd be running a 1:48 which would be sick! Just not likely. Anything under 2:00 would be very impressive IMO.
I am sure he lap times were no where near close. She was learning the track, the bike, the tires etc etc etc.
Indy is a HUGE place and I am sure it would take anyone awhile to figure out ..even on a bike they are comfortable with. The seat time was more about promotion than a test and I am sure the times will not be made public by the team.
That being said, I think its pretty cool that she got the opportunity to ride the bike. I am sure with some seat time she could lay down a respectable lap. The footage they showed of her riding the bike was NOT very flattering. They could have done a better job on that for sure.
She was also running steel brake rotors. They say she only did 5 laps too. Really wouldn't be worth comparing her times to any of the regulars in the paddock.

Carbon rotors take some time to get used to. 5 laps isn't enough. When journo's and the like ride the GP bikes they put the steel rotors on too.
