Erin wanted me to let you all know she is doing well (or as well as she can) and she appreciates the help from everyone in getting her bike, equipment and truck all back home.
I picked her up from the Concord hospital last night and she has a badly injured right knee. The x-rays don't show any breaks, so the MRI this week will reveal exactly what is wrong.
For now Erin is home taking it easy, the doctors hooked her up with some good pain meds
..Also has anyone seen her cell phone, it appears it was left at the track.
If so please let me know...I don't know when Erin will be online, maybe not for a day or two.

This is bad news.. Sorry to hear or your let off Erin. I would have been crazy if I was at the track to see you like that, as I am sure everyone that was there reacted. You never want to see a friend get hurt. Speedy recovery
Be sure to let me know If you need help, I will do anything to give you a hand. Or just company, I'll visit with ya anytime.
What was up with this weekends events? Was the heat the factor in all these crashes? With Degs, and Jay we think it was the combination of the tires and the heat. Dehydration was also a possibilty in other crashes seeing how hot and humid it was..
Everyone else have let off's in the group?

Erin is in good spirits, I spoke with her a little while ago. Another rider took her out in T1 .. Nothing broken but the MRI will feed back the details of what is wrong... She will probably be on crutches for a little while..![]()

ouchy. glad I am only getting to this now that the details are in. did the other rider go down too or did he just kinda push her out? Seemed to be a lot of pushing goin on this weekend. Too many people not keeping hydrated and acting like fools out there cause they weren't with it....Originally posted by Half Squid

Thanks everyone for the support. Here's what I think was happened, (and inspection of the leathers somewhat confirms):
All I really remember was going into one, pretty comfortable - like I didn't feel like I was taking any crazy lines or anything - turn one's pretty straight forward. Then, I just remember seeing a liiiiiittttttle bit of green, feeling like I got hit by a freight train, thinking in my head "Not Good!", then being on the ground, slightly on my left side, with my bike on top of my legs, pretty much around the kneecap area. God knows I was used to getting passed, so I don't think I freaked out or anything when he was passing me; I can't believe he didn't go down - it felt like he just went into me with his shoulder or something. Highside city baby. The impact on the helmet is on the bottom of the back of my head, and my leather uppers are torn on the back. The legs were torn at the stretchy part on the knee, and the gloves were absolutely anihallated. BIG THANKS TO HEATH for letting me use his back protector. Since I landed flat on my back, I would have been super screwed if I didn't have one on. Also, I HIGHLY recommend spending the extra money for those Held gloves. Pretty damned pricey, but I don't have a scratch on me, and they really were totally shredded. We'll see after an MRI what's really going on, but I'm hoping for the best.
Thanks again to everyone, and hopefully I'll see you all out there again soon.![]()

yeah, sorry about that. I couldn't get to a computer until this morning when I got back to work...
My computer at home has cooties, so the internet stages a coup every time I tried to use it. I gave up and use the thing as a paperweight now, since I'm always at work.
Man, I'm having a hell of a time communicating with people at work with a head full of Vic's. Eh too bad for them, I guess.![]()
