HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
That exhaust is pretty much spring loaded with all the tension it's under... so stress failure doesn't surprise me. Richie's plug didn't look too bad when he pulled it after the can let go, I fattened it up just as a safety precaution so he could try to run with whatever patch we rigged without worrying about doing further damage. It'll likely need to be leaned out again once it's breathing properly.
Given the pathetically small airboxes on these machines, anyone know how they respond to just yanking the entire thing and running a pod filter? Richie's bike is never going to see dirt AFAIK?
I've heard those filters suck but I dunno...I wouldn't use one
All depends on the brand and how you oil them. If you over oil them they flow about as well as pickup lines out of DB when he realizes the girl is aware of his presence... Oiled properly they really don't impede the flow at all compared to not having a filter.
The question I have is weather or not the pathetic excuse for an airbox on these bikes is actually big enough to fatten the midrange any, or if it's just a best effort and primarily there to keep mud out?
