    Trailer setups

Any of you guys got any cool set ups in your trailers? Im trying to come up with some ideas for the winter, I need to do some electrical, and the main thing I want to do is put a bed that folds up out of the way in, I have no idea what to do about that though. Also might try to get a TV/dvd player in there as well, but that should be relatively easy.

    Check this out.
Jack put E-track on the side,4 2x4's hook into them and 3 pieces of plywood across,(gets bungied to the wall after)
then the air mattress goes on top
has conduit, comes out under the trailer, for the electric blankets, fridge coffee pot lights etc.
Very inexpensive way, all we had to do was buy the 6x12

    Re: Trailer setups

Ahh yes, thats what I needed.
Next dumb question, is there some specific way to run power into the trailer, as in from and extension cord into the trailer? Or just a hole in the wall with a grommet in it or something?

Does anyone know any specific places that sell shit like this for trailers?

    Re: Trailer setups

This is a shot of the inside of mine. The trailer is vintage (early 90's) but works really well. It serves as my garage between track days. It has just some basic cabinets up front that are permanently mounted.

All the wiring (12volt and 110) is run cleanly through the conduit. It keeps the inside neat and even gives you a place to hang stuff when the trailer is parked. The 110 is wired to an exterior grade plug (similar to the ones on extension cords, just a lot more heavy duty). It has about a 10' lead that stays coiled in the tongue of the trailer during transport. The halogens lights swing out to shine out the back door of the trailer if you want. They are switched seperately from the florescent lights. There are two 110v outlets on the wall of the trailer and a power strip up on the work table.

I've tried to keep from attaching too much stuff permanently. I like having the ability to bring a couple of friends along to the track day. Last week there were 5 bikes in this trailer, and we could have fit another 2 fairly easily. If I re-configured the tie down locations I think we might have space for 8, but then I'd have to put my tools and compressor somewhere else.

I'm an electrician so I can totally hook that shit up for you, if you let me grow pot in it during the off season.

HELL NO! Drugs are bad and illegal and you go to hell if you use them! I would never condone this sort of behavior.

    Re: Trailer setups

Question for you guys that sleep in your trailer....

....the panels that lines the interior of my trailer is treated with something that is so strong it makes your eyes water when you first open the door after it's been closed up for a bit. I've had the trailer since March and it hasn't improved much. Did you guys have the same problem? If so, did you treat the interior with something else to decrease the odor? I'm not sure how many brain cells I would lose inhaling that stuff. Perhaps I'm better off lining the interior with other panels?

that sounds like a sweet set up. When I used to race stockcars the old bus was a cool setup. Cut the back off, hinge it at the top and you had an awning and the car rolled right up inside. A winch was always a nice feature. I would assume a bike would be easier to load, especially a crashed one.

I doubt putting another lining in would do anything. Perhaps ask the place where you got the trailer ifyou bought it new? The only thing I might suggest is try scrubbing it down with some TSP or something, I dont know how effective that might be, but itd be my best guess.

Do they have roof vents? Would leaving the vent open help?

its in the flooring they use for some trailers. united aluminums are really bad. only thing you can do is leave it open to vent. painting my floor with herculiner took care of most of it too.
