The posting of the video changes everything so why don't we leave it at "the people who aren't at least willing to give it a try, be it in practice or otherwise".
Fair enough?

Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
No, lets NOT leave it at that, cuz I also wanna know who you think hasn't pushed themselves as a racer.... Cuz you've been at this whole racing thing for a long time now, so I wanna know what you think being a racer really means & who here actually hasn't pushed themselves.

Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
COP OUT!
C'mon, do it. I dare ya :D

So I take it you've appointed me as the authority on who is and who is not a racer?
What I think being a dedicated racer means involves stepping up to the table and playing the cards that I'm dealt, no matter what. Be it no electricity, config change, collapsed garages, flooding in the tunnel, etc, nothing's going to keep me off that race track or any race track and I will gladly lay my trust in the folks who are in charge of the set up regarding a lay out change at NHMS in particular.
Call it a cop out all you want, anyone who falls within the "I'm not gonna try it even though I haven't seen it" group is who I'm talking about. You want names? There are 2 very active threads to read. You can fill in the names as you see fit.
Why is it now my opinion suddenly means so much?
Fact is, I couldn't care less who is out there and who isn't. My question was based on why people are up in arms about a layout change they haven't seen up until the video was posted.

Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
I believe what you're talking about is passion bergs. Some have a passion for racing, some have a passion for riding the same ol track round and round w/ their buddies.
FWIW, anyone who hasn't used someone as a berm (or been used as a berm) is not a real racer anyway. :D

Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
No, YOU appointed YOURSELF as the authority on who is and who is not a racer since post #1 of your condescending, passive aggressive "calling-out" thread.
-
Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
breaking news, Bergs says Maladin isn't a real racer.

Or anyone from the AMA for that matter.

I never appointed myself as anything, you guys did the instant you wanted to know exactly who I was talking about. I never thought to make a list and with that I don't have names sitting directly in front of me. Trust me, if I really want to call people out I have and will.

Glorified trackday riders. They keep a number-bike around just so they can say they're a racer. I happen to know a few.

Bergs, you're seriously gonna tell me you aren't calling people out? You made a list in the very first sentence of the very first post in this thread w/o actually doing so.
Passive aggressive much?
I'm done.

Where exactly did I state this? You and Honc....I tell ya...:mope:...suck at reading yet are pros at changing and adding words to an otherwise straightforward statement.

THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU ASKING ME FOR A LIST??? You've had your answer all along...:dunno:
Holy sheep shit! Redundant much?

Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
I'm going to go up there and poke around tomorrow, it's my day off anyway. If it looks as shitty on the bike as it does on video, FUCK THAT. I can only make a couple/few weekends this year anyway, maybe this shouldn't be one of them.

Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
bergs... if im one of the guys you were "calling out" let me know... I'll giggle it off :)

Your talking about me.
I tried it. I'm not cut out for it. I love doing track days. I don't know what a 'Glorified trackday rider' is. I'm just a plain old 'track day rider'.
...emphasis on 'old'...
And I havent painted over the number plates cus I' lazy and never thought it would mean I was gonna be called a 'glorified' anything.

Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
yea, the video didn't help the situation, but big thanks to denno for posting it up... have a few PM's from expert riders saying they think they are passing on the weekend...
Nobody's going to prove anything by racing, but if LRRS has 80% attendance, then they will be satisfied, and they wont bitch at the track (too) much. If they get %50 or less, that's going to effect their budget quite a bit... So in the future, they push harder on nhms and hold them to their deadlines better.
I have heard from track employees and long time expert riders who think this is BS (whether it be politically or safety related).
I replied to one PM mentioning, it would have been cool for LRRS to say "free gate fees" or something to make-up for this BS (it could have maybe came from nhms instead of lrrs' pocket)...
Oh well, I hope nothing bad comes from this, but if it does, hindsite is worthless. Track officials told me on the phone today it HAS to be ready for the classic, so lets hope so...
BTW, make sure you guys thank wanda and the other LRRS peeps for working so hard to try and make it as safe as possible and keep our race series going. I would have hoped if there was any chance of rescheduling the weekend, they would have... as there has been admission to this being less safe than the normal layout.

I saw PK today... he said there were two options... run this or cancel. Every weekend is booked.
At least they're giving us an option.

Re: What happened to "adjusting to the conditions"? (Anyone, everyone, come inside)
To be honest... I don't see this as dangerous in a single file thing.
In a race, I see the air fence being hit with shoulders, but we've done that before and gotten through the weekend.
But... Where's pit out?
