hump on the back of suits for safety or areodynamics?

The hump helps for safety of your spine and neck about as much as all the armor in your leathers.

It's not much, but might just be enough.

Kurtz is a MUCH better dancer than that 2 bit hack.

I thought it was there to help keep you helmet from bouncing around at speed, when you are tucked on the bike with your head pointed up. Now, I'm not so sure.

I've never seen a street jacket with a hump on it, but I should think it depends on the height of your passenger. If you're referring to your son, he's probably short enough that his helmet will hit the hump (depending on how far you lean forward when you ride). Your wife can probably see over it.

I have seen jackets from A* and AGVSport that also have the hump.

brendanp has a hump on his jacket, talk to him

Alpinestars has them on the High end coats and suits...my Sp-1 leathers don't....
