The garage spots are paid. Generally you get three of your buds together and split it for the year.
The infield is free.
The garages are rented out so you cant just pick a spot and go with it. Some people will rent out spots in the garages but you need to ask around and keep your eyes open. The parking lot directly in front of the garages are also reserved for the garage renter. As far as I know the infield away from the garages is a free for all but people have been in the same place for some time now so you may be asked to move. There is a ton of room out there so you should be able to find a spot easy enough.
