Pre Reg Check?

Anyone ever use a check for pre-reg? Do they have to have the check by tomorrow, or just the entry? I'd like to use a check rather than a card to pre-reg, could reg now & get it in the mail today. No clue if that'd count or not, thinking it might since they don't charge the cards until right before the event anyway.
