Just got this in e-mail a few minutes ago.
In short, if you plan on overnighting at the track for multiple events leading up to an LRRS weekend, bring your money.
This is an update on the camping fees for 2012. The overnight fees (camping fees) have changed for 2012. Example: If you are coming in on Wednesday night to stay over for Open Test on Thursday, there is an overnight fee for that night. If you are also staying overnight on Thursday night for the Penguin day on Friday there is a camping fee for that night also. Then there is a camping fee for the 2 nights of LRRS (Friday and Saturday), as well.
In general there will be individual camping fees for each of the individual events; Loudon Road Race Series is a 2 day event, Penguin is a separate (private rental) day and Open Test is not specific for LRRS and is also a separate event.
We will be offering all of the camping passes when you arrive on property, so if you do come in on Wednesday night we will have all 3 of the camping passes available for sale at the window.
Infield passes for the LRRS weekend will go on sale as of 5 PM on Thursday night.
For the riders who get the complimentary infield pass for entering 3 or more races by the pre-entry deadline date, let the window worker know that you will should have one and they will get it from the box. They no longer have to search through a list which should be more efficient.
If you have any questions, please call us; (603) 513-5726.
Thank you,

it would def help if they said what the fees are in advanced, but hasnt always been like that? (I have never been at a race weekend in NHMS)
$25/night w/electricity. I know cause I just paid....
LRRS #387
I honestly had no idea about any of this...was planning on camping in the car Thursday night, is this do-able?

Sleep on the property = pay

No, it hasn't always been like that.
Original
It seems to me that it is being lobbed only as far as in the general direction of the LRRS competitors, crews and spectators.
Not sure what others think but I'd be very surprised if this policy included trackdays.
$25 a Night??????

So, that's if you sleep anywhere in there, or if you are paying for a camping spot? I mean, if I sleep in my trailer outside of my garage...I have to pay $25 a night? Unless I have pre-registered for three races, then that's waved?
How far off am I?
The way I understand it is $25 with power $15 without wednesday or thursday night. Friday/sat night is a 2 for one. ($25/$15 for both nights)
If you have a garage I believe you are good to go (no fee) Especially if you don't run power to your trailer.
Tom had posted on the LRRS facebook page.

I paid $30 for 2 people for Wednesday and Thursday night. They consider garages are rented from 6PM Friday till Sunday at 6PM.
Cheapest camping in the state. Especially for the region during the Classic.
So a weekend of camping at the track from Wed night through Sat night went from $25 to $75 (if you aren't doing three races which would make it from free to $50)
In the grand scheme of racing expenses not that big of a deal but if you are racing on a budget than your costs for the year just went up by $350
Kinda crappy to spring on people last minute via an email that doesn't even spell out what the true costs are but really not too big a part of the budget for a season of racing and significantly less expensive than four nights at the Red Roof.
Also, though Doc mentioned that Tom may have posted this on the LRRS Facebook page there are those of us that do not live our lives through Facebook and would appreciate the information about the actual costs being disseminated through the email they sent us. Obviously I got the info from this post but how difficult would it be to just type the costs in the email that is already being typed?
Oh well, see those of you that are racing this weekend. Likely be up there part of the day tomorrow and on Saturday.

im sure someone from the officials will clarify this soon..
but tls is right this is def very last minute
Wanna play gotta pay. I would like to see any of the LRRS folks that bitch about this and that try to go down to Jersey and get camping and electric at any other track other than NHMS for that matter for free. This is no surprise really. In the grand scheme of things LRRS is behind the times with their fees for camping and electric. Guess what not anymore.
Go with Berg's to wera if you don't like it!

"No surprise" that this type of information comes out when it's way too late? Yeah, I agree 100%
Ah yes, typical LRRS attitude I have come to know--> "there's the door if you don't like it". Good to see it's now trickling down to the racers this season.Go with Berg's to wera if you don't like it!
Funny thing is, the costs for a small group of us to hit up Summit Point isn't any worse and the best part is there won't be any shitty surprises sprung on the competitors last minute.
Crazy concept, I know!
Okay, let's all get something sorted out. There isn't some sort of requirement to go with me in order to attend WERA events and I do not have a desire to be painted in a certain light that suggests such a thing. I am running my own race program and don't want to be bothered worrying about someone else's. You (all) have brains and can figure it out if you (all) really want. I have been answering questions as to what I know about participating in WERA events and that's about as far as it's gone.
Furthermore, KB, Jim, Chuck and others (you know who you are), based on the "don't like it, leave" approach I have run into repeatedly at LRRS I realized, for me, there are things I have come to dislike. I made a choice and the small group of you really need to get off my nuts about it.
Thank you
