So, I need a new rear sprocket. My current set up on my 03 cbr600rr is 15/45. That's -1/+2 from stock. I'm running low low :24's and still shaving off .5 to 1 second each event.
I am going up to either a 46 or 47. What are you running and why?

BTW, I mean NHMS not MHMS.

It really depends on your bike as well as your pace from what I gather.
At NHMS you don't gear for the straight so much as your shift points
What bike are you on?
On my 06 R6 I have -1/+3 from stock, pretty drastic as they are geared quite tall (most sportbikes are) from the factory. It feels pretty good and I feel like there's room in this gearing for me to get a lot quicker.

I ran a 15/48 in my 2003 600RR.
I was able to run 3rd gear through most of the track with this gearing.
I was running down in the low 19's and the guy I bought the bike from ran that gearing in the 14's.
If you stay with a 45 rear sprocket you'll probably use 2nd gear instead of 3rd in some sections....like T11-12, or T2.

Thanks Chris, both of you. Yeah Nazo, 2nd into 11 and 12 and 2nd into 3. I never would have thought to go as high as a 48.
