I am converting a 2007 gsxr 600 for race use this season - reading the rulebook it states that a 2000 or newer gsxr with OEM style bodywork only needs the left cover or a cover guard.
2 questions: If I use armourbodies am I covered as far as only needing the left cover? What kind of cover guard is acceptable for the left side?
I have looked at the left side aftermarket covers and they are not cheap, but my guess is they are the way to go instead of some type of guard. Any input on what I need and dont need is much appreciated. Thanks

Call or pm me for Woodcraft.
Let me know your race history, number.
Woodcraft, NRC or have Tricky Mike weld a reinforcement pad onto the OEM cover.
Ted, can you get NRC engine covers?
+1 on Woodcraft. Buy both the left and right side and never worry about it again.
These are super important, without them it takes virtually nothing to smash the OEM cover open and cover the track in oil, and potentially hurt your bike or someone behind you.
