So the Qualifying times are in and Hayden gets 16th.
He's 3 tenths behind Giberneau in 15th and almost 3 seconds down from
Stoner.
WTF.
So the question is... is he toast?
Does he go the way of Melandri?

Hayden may be missing the race. He had a massive highside partway through qualifying and got carted off the track, which is one of the reasons he didn't get a chance to improve on his time.

is it running?
Ya they were laughing about it. It was raining so hard at one point I think they would have called it even if it were held during the day. Looked worse then indy last year. Hopefully they get it off tomorrow. The other option being discussed was in sept the week the hungarian gp was to be held.
According to motogp.com they are running it tomorrow. Maybe Hayden will be able to run after all.

I read somewhere that Hayden's not happy with the amount of practice time he's had on the Duc. Very limited, apparently.
My guess is that he won't do too well for the first part of the season, but will begin to improve as he learns the bike and finds a setup he's comfortable with.
The good news (from what I've been able to read between the lines) is that Ducati management realises it'll take him some time to adapt and is willing to make the investment in him, and also apparently Hayden and Stoner get along well.
