The hazards of actuallty being there -- you don't get the TV replays and have to depend on the (sucky) commentators for info on what happens on the parts of the track you can't see from where you're sitting. The commentator said it was Turn 1. But then this article (MotoGP 2 16 CotA race results) says it was Turn 2. You say Turn 3. One would think, with all the media and cameras and such, that accurate info wouldn't be that hard to see and say. But then you'd also think it wouldn't be all that hard to keep the tower updated with what lap it is and what order the top ten riders are in, yet that isn't done very well, either.

Great qualifying session! Drama at the end. It's really awesome watching Lorenzo ride, guy never looks like he's pressing. Lots of work for Iannone.

And Rossi....
Had to sneak that one in between finishing watching Moto 3 at 8:57 and Game of Boobies starting at 9:00. Anyhow.
Great run for Rossi, nailed the start and snuffed out the one time Lorenzo was able to challenge him. Does anyone celebrate like Rossi? Awesome stuff. REALLY wish I would have actually seen more of Iannone's ride but it wasn't on camera much.
Great ride by Sam Lowes in Moto 2. At his pace he would have taken out Folger eventually. Zarco benefits from massive carnage in front of him and snags 5th. There were some damn nasty crashes...
Brad Binder was awesome. Starting from pit lane and coming through the entire field to win by 3 seconds. Amazing. The podium battle behind him didn't disappoint either. Definitely the most exciting racing going now is in Moto 3.

Wow, what a snoozer of a race but I couldn't be happier, 37 years old and still can dominate like that, put it on pole and leading flag to flag, perfect place to shut the critics up, in Spain, in front of MM and J-Lo fans!
MM got wiser? decided to take the points rather than repeat of last year
J-Lo just a sore fucking looser: "My tire was spinning..." last year he had helmet problems, bike problems... take it like a man and admit that you had your ass handed to you by someone who was better prepared to "do battle"
Yep, been VR fan since 500 days, liked MM till he decided to be J-Lo's bodyguard but J-Lo has always been a classless punk.
Not action packed but damn it was great watching Rossi dominate the race like that.
I think Lorenzo commented after the race that the pace was slow, but if that were true why weren't Lorenzo and Marquez breathing down his neck? Rossi had an excellent start but seems like they had ample chance to make some kind of move.
Playing it safe my ass, Rossi ate them for lunch!
My Belgian friend close to the action shared some news from Ducati team:
Ducati has already started to experiment a series of new ready made excuses for next year. They were famous for their clutch noise, next year they 'll also be famous for their whining noise, especially AFTER the race.
The performances by Binder & Lowes were incredible & thrilling to watch. Just as incredible was Rossi's ride, but not nearly as exciting.
And that Moto 3 last lap battle for 2nd was INSAAAAANE!

Excited to watch Eslick in Moto2. I didn't realize he was over there for that this weekend. That's pretty rad. I'm sure he'll be near the back of the pack but I hope he does well.
