2026 opening race this weekend. I say Aprilia!
Holy shit. Already?
a lot of people are saying already/ caught me off guard as well.
We've all been distracted by the Patriots run in the playoffs/Olympics/an actual winter here in New England for the first time in a while/Etc.
Im ready. Will be interesting to see how thing pan out early on. My money is on Marc if he stays upright. Hopefully not a run away like last year but I want it to be close because of good racing. Looks like Fabio is going to waste another year on a bad bike. I think Toprak is starting to realize he isn't in Kansas anymore. I don't think he does anything this year between the lack of MotoGP experience and a bad bike. Hoping Honda has really stepped up to get another bike in the mix.
The NEMRR league is up and running. The code is 39KNDEB8
If you guys want a NESR specific league, let me know and I'll set one up...
Also......... if you're interested in the idea of a 20 dollar league.... let me know. Because Steve Heider and I are putting one together ;)
There will be payouts for each round as well as top 3 at the end of the year (the amount it pays out depends on how many people enter).
He is the gold standard, but Testing has been a crash test for him. Saying he lost concentration on the last one is not a good sigh in my book. He is also recovering from a real bad injury again.Quote:

Martin may be healthy enough to ride like is old self, plus the bike might be the equal to the Ducati and Marco is rocking.
Sad but Quartararo will be waisted again on the Yamaha.
Should be a real good one again.
:lmao: Exactly... Except for the poor fuckers on the Blue Turd... :lmao:
Can't wait for practice to kick off tomorrow!
I have a hard time thinking Marc doesn’t win, even considering the testing weekend.
Marc was sick at the test. Ducati locked it out last year. Everyone is more-or-less on a gp24 now.
The biggest thing is Marc just knows how to win better than everyone else.
If Marc’s focus is on winning, I wouldn’t bet against him at any track, in any condition, all things equal in rider health.
Watched the Sprint this morning. It was an amazing race with a little bit of everything. The ending I did not agree with. Tell me what you thought of it. I think it was a super aggressive move but it was not worthy of the outcome.
Tough move by Marc. for sure but didn't think it warranted a position drop. Acosta looked surprised that Marc gave him the W at the end. So, if he didn't think it was bad move then why the penalty? Awesome race.
Sprint was a good show. The end was just a solid racing event..
Exciting to see The Shark attack!
THE Benz! Aprilia kicks ass.
Was a good race weekend. Very entertaining and some great racing. Still not sure how I feel about Marcs penalty. At first I was ok with it. Just sucked it happened so close to the end so there was no chance for a come back. After seeing what other riders have said I am less ok with it. I don't want to lose the close racing or the close passing. The big race was a lot of fun to watch. Some great racing all around. Happy to see Marc getting some competition this year. Hopefully it keeps up. The flat tire sucked. Hopefully just a freak puncture and not a larger issue. Starting to watch the Moto3 and Moto 2 races now.
Entertaining weekend, Very impressed with Acosta performance consider KTM is supposedly circling the drain... and Ogura was looking good 2nd half of the race, nice finish.. :hbang2:
Still loving the Gulf livery... :bananna:
Yeah I'm not sure I agree with the penalty either... At the very LEAST, the stewards need to review their own procedures for dishing out penalties THAT close to the end of the race... Like, C'mon... If an incident happens one corner before the white flag, just wait 90 seconds to look at the incident some more and decide after the checkered. Make sure you're making the right call, not a rushed call.
Other than that, it was a great season opener.
Pretty exciting opening bell.
I too am impressed with Pacco! Dude was in full shark mode!
My feet were sweating toward the end of the GP with anticipation of tyre failure and Pedro making moves.
Pretty surprised that the Ducatis were so out to lunch. It appears they are having some turn in issues compared to the Aprilia and KTM.
I'm excited to see where things go from here!
I know its the first race of the season but I hope the rest of the year has that fights for the podium like this race had. Remember when we all thought aero was killing tight racing? Was it this track layout or did the bikes evolved to negate the aero excuse for close racing battles?
Bez crushed everyone on his Aprilia. Have you all seen the details on the Aero package on their bike this year? A very interesting story. Worth a watch.

I liked the block pass by MM on the Sprint Saturday. I was really hoping Pedro would do the same to him next corner but he lost a lot of pace. I think Simon Crafar reached too far to call it unsafe.
Interesting practice results. Not sure if it was a result of a new track or weather or both. Hoping for a fun sprint and gp this weekend
flooding, sink holes and pavement coming apart is not a good look. But the Benz once again stole the show, Aprilia's got its act together. Bring on Austin
like riding on fresh oil and stone! lol
I’m eating a lot of my pre season words, but very happy about it.
We’re back on normal tires at Austin. And then back to normal tracks in Europe. Let’s see if anything changes.
Track conditions aside, Brazil looked like a super fun track for a middleweight track day.
