Guess I'm dense, I still haven't figured it out.
cunt tickle?
I always thought we we're all one big team anyways. That is, until the green flag flies.
We are a big team, with no central organization. The number of racers and cornerworks brought to the track from this site is incedible. We are not permitted to represent ourselves under the NESR name, and we have no fundamental voice speaking to the association on our behalf, of course other than our rider reps. Even then the rider reps are representing individual voices heard. Degsy was great for this representation in the past, unfortunatly he doesn't have the time to be involved as much now-a-days. Everyone else wants to run their own show on dreams of big money sponsors and motogp rides.
If you can suck start a bike I'll personally sponsor you onto a racetrack.
haha... i would have to use the hands too.... otherwise it wouldnt be possible and/or the bike wouldn't enjoy it as much :D
So why not start something? It is easier to manage small group rather than Large ones. How many racers are on here? 40? 50?
If we were to shuffle a bit and organize into small groups with a Rep from each group to go to the one guy we all agree on to represent us it could work...
GS500s seem to be cheap, but few are already race prepped so there's added cost there. EX500s are on the market ready to roll fairly cheap. What's your budget and how much do you like to wrench? : )
Looks like you're looking at $2500 min to get a ride, dunno how much it costs to run one for a season. I think Arcy (Pookie) of ECK fame has an Aprila RS250 (he estimated at 40hp?) still for sale, that might be up your ally.
Because small teams are individual voices, and each small team is there for themselves not the group. The recognition for 15 people on the grid under 6 different names is nothing that stands out to the organization. That's what all the teams want, exclusivity and the run of their own show, their own stickers, their own shirts. That doesn't speak for unity, that speaks for 5 guys the hang out together. 50 bikes with the same logos get attention, and have a voice.
Ok excellent point... How would we manage such a large group?
I was just thinking a smaller group would be easier to manage, then those group managers could get together to discuss the Big groups issues. :dunno:
I certainly like the 50 bikes with the same logo idea. :D
I'm not proposing. I've worked toward it before with money and time and got no cooperation from even groups of 10. I've managed to get the same paint job on two bikes out of 15 including my own. I had to give away the 100+ stickers I paid for because noone else got off their ass to get them. Try getting four racers to pick one painter, one color scheme or even agree on one color. That's why 'teams' are a joke, everyone wants to do what's in their interest or what works best for them alone.
Wait, we have to paint our bikes?
I'm out. Unless the chosen paint color is "scuffed primer".
I WANT MY CARE BEAR VESTS. I will be part of any group as long as I can wear my vest. And Dan and I worked too long making fun of peoples vests and coming up with the care bear vest idea to just let it die.
You are SOOO getting a vest from me next season!
