I dont understand.............. whats the big rush. Stay down there in Novice Clayton, nobody needs another EX out there beating them. Get a few more 1st places under your belt, and feel confident in moving up. :)Quote:

I'll be novice till I get a high enough index to bump up to Amatuer.
KB
im pretty sure im moving up next year (fingers crossed):D
What is everyone running for bikes?
What races do you run?
About how fast are you running?
I'll be there.
And xxmdcast, all you have to do is NOT CRASH in the rookie race, no one ever said anything about setting a course record. :dunno:
Hey Jeff I just PM'd you.
What are you racing? Have you done the penguin school?
I'm bench racing right now, and no I havent done the penguin school. Still have yet to find a bike, still mulling over trading my FZR as part of the cost towards a race bike. The more I ride on the street, the more I'm willing to get rid of it. :poke:
Wanna go the sv, ex, 125, hawk route, all are possibilities for me.
I'll keep my eye out. what is your budget?
Yea I know all you gotta do is just not crash and you get your license. Im pretty confident I can handle that. I wish this past time at open practice I was timing myself I was doing ok toward the end of the day only getting passed by a few people and keeping with some people who I thought looked good out there.
Im running a 2000 R6 that I bought race ready. I have to say for someone who doesnt know it all about racing yet thats probably a good decision.Quote:

From the wantad:
1997 Kawi Ex 500 - Penske Shock, rear sets, racetech skins, and comes with lots of street parts.
800 bucks bo!!!! :D
This is not mine just helping out. Telephone 508-896-9306
This is relatively cheap and the parts are even cheaper if you break something. Not to mention all the know how the guys here who race ex 500's have.
i'll most likely do the penguin class in april too, since my last class ended up not so well.
I'll end up racing either my sv, or whatever dedicated race bike i buy once i sell my ducati.
gmdboston,
I'm VERY interested in seminar in racing. I hope to do as many races as i can next season, and don't really have any local friends that can show me the ropes, so any help i can get is a plus.
At this very moment i'm free everyday after nov.6th. So lets set something up guys, i just want to be as fully prepped as i can be for next season.
I though this thing was gone! JEFFL!!! You better pick this up, Capt1014 just got Jerseys race bike (not the one he wrecked) This one sounds dam good!

I figure if enough of you guys pick up EX 500's eventually there will be enough spare parts and know how that people will be able to tear down, rebuild, crash, rebuild over and over again all without leaving the trackQuote:

Jeffle, buy what Want Ad bike. I'll help offset the cost to you by grabbin the Penske off it for $100 and I'll give you a stocker.
$100 for the Penske? Clayton, you are way too generous!
:twofinger
Jeff, don't do it... Clayton, i'll sell you my ohlins for 200 if Jeff buy's your stocker for 100 and gives me his penske.
now THAT'S what I call a good deal :hellyeah:
Remind me to wave as I smote past you. :DQuote:

Oh really!? You guys will give me a stock shock in trade for a Penske or Ohlins? You guys are so generous. :twofinger
I don't own a GSXR, so why would I want a shock from one?:D :poke:Quote:

Jeff, stock shock PLUS $100. If you want cheap, that's a cheap way to get into racing!
I dunno, I'll see, should probably put the fzr up on the chopping blocks here soon. For $800 I should definitely give that guy a call. But for $800, I certainly wouldnt feel obligated to get any money back by selling off aftermarket parts from the bike. :)
Not to mention the ad says it comes with a whole bunch of street parts that you can probably sell.Quote:

I may actually buy it to part out any offers on the penske shock lol :) :) :)
Probably could do that but why ruing a nice race bike for a beginner.
SOMEONE BUY THIS NOW.
