I looked around here for the most appropriate place to post this, it didn't really strike me as being a track day.
Just a reminder that there is still space available for the Penguin 2
Day school August 26-27. Finish off the season strong....both Eric and
Jeff will there in addition to our regular crew of instructors, and
will be ready to ride with lots of students. You can expect one on one
attention both on the track and through our classroom photographic
riding analysis.
Take advantage of riding an event that is typically has a smaller class
size than our June event - giving you more individual attention.
We've also got a optional special going for this school - 2 days of
class plus a set of US Dunlop 208 or 209 GP's mounted on your rims for
$720 total.
We hope to see you there! Reserve your spots on The Oldest Motorcycle Roadracing School in the Country! - Penguin Roadracing School

720 bucks for:
- set of tires
- two full days on the track (typical trackday price at NHMS is like 250'ish)
- small class size
- coaching with two Top 10 AMA Pro's
Seems like a bloody bargin to me!

If any of the fuckers I work for would pay me I'd be all over this.![]()
Other than the tire thing (US made Dunlops are supposedly no where near the quality of the Euro ones) and I ride Dunlops, there is nothing like repetitive days on the track.
For the money spent, and depending on your skill level, the school alone could take you from a top ten rider to a top 5. That alone makes the dollar/performance gain way more worth it than any bike mod you can think of!
People are always quick to shell out money to Rob's dyno or GMD or Brembo but balk at spending on instruction. I'm not the fastest guy out there, but I have never had my bikes dyno'd, GMD'd, or improved in any meaningful professional way. But because of good training I am able to finish near the front even though people walk me on the straights.
If you were a really good guitar player and wanted to take it to the next level, would you buy a new Strat or take lessons from one of the top 10 to 20 guiter players in the country?

P.S. I am going to have my SV GMD'd and Dyno'd this winter. Look out LWSS!![]()
