Hi,
It took awhile but I finally finished my new track bike after blowing up the engine on my old one last year, getting an operation an so on.
I searched the web but could not find an answer, but what are the general rules regarding Friday practice sessions at Loudon? I'd like to get some laps in on it before I enter an actual race and it does not seem like there are anytrack days this year.
Thanks,
p
pretty sure Friday practice is from 1 - 5 pm... for $100
~that which doth not kill me can only make me stronger~
LRRS / CCS - #103
and Thursday 9 - 5pm

Basically yes,
At the front gate show your license and pay
$150 9-5 or
$100 1 -5pm
they will give you a sticker for your bike.
It is up to you to make sure you and your bike are track worthy
before 9am they will announce how many groups/session length and the bike/rider make up
Use any free garage..

Self tech of bike and gear?
cuz he's taking his license on friday
Chuck are you riding on Monday too?
Yes, they do, also the PA announces what session etc.
This Motorcycle racer tune up day is ran by NHMS Speedway itself.
Yes you do self tech.
If you come up by yourself pit/find a garage with others for moral support.
Again the Thursday's are for already licensed racers or Penguin school card holders.

So really NESR Thursday or Friday what makes more sense? When I heard about Thursday that sounded nice as it would give me a day to recover. This will be my first time on the track in a year ( since my elbow operation ).
Thursdays are good .. Fridays work out well for the guys who have a harder time justifying being at the track for 4 days. What ever works for you time wise, will be the best bet. You will get a decent amount of track time to get back in the swing of things if you just do friday. If you want/need the extra time, then Thursday might be the way to go as you do get more track time. Or do both!
