and when you're that hot...aiming in tight to T9 is critical - a little wide -even a few feet...and it's helllo i see moonscape. :coward:..
and the T9 apex is actually a little past the T9 cone.....

Or your suspension needs adjusting. :dunno:
That "don't brake going into 1" tip was gold the end of my novice year. :twothumb:
I had got the launch on everyone and was thinking "woo who!" when I hit my brake marker to have the rest of the field blow by me going into one, inside, outside, friggin motards!
I learned my lesson. If you think about it, from a standing start, halfway down the front straight, you are not going half as fast as you would be if you had the whole front straight. Pin it to win it. :D
Grahams line into 9 was shown to me on my 1st trackday and I still am trying to perfect it. I see people messing that up all the time.
Passing on the outside of 9 is some ballsy shit. I have done it once or twice, and learned to get by em before they pick it up for 10 so that when they do you have the inside line of 10 and not them. :D
Late braking is definately a skill to try and master in novice. You can pick up ALOT of spots if you are better on the brakes than the next guy.
This is an awesome thread and I am eagerly awaiting more tips. :D
I love passing on the outside of 9 hard on the gas. It's tough though you gotta get it done so you don't stuff the guy in 10.

Which turn is 9 again?
9 = left after bowl @ top of hill
ys, just before... at race pace- (not track day pace) you bike shudders a bit over some ripples - you're on the hot line... from here it's a STRAIGHT line to T9 entry... no swooping not more bar input, no more moving around... if you are HOT and not aleady aimed at T9....it's moon scape time....
the logic or beauty of aiming tight to T9- if you are too hot there is an enormous amount of room to let it drift out on the other side..... (and or upright braking) - just a few feet wide and you are slung to the far outside.... with still a lot more turning to be done in not so cambered dirty stuff....
