^that def. blows
my main concern is being selfish as I think I can get sunoco race fuel from a source cheaper than VP...both non rocket fuel ofcourse

Pretty sure you'll be 100% fine. Only reason to run high-octane racegas is if you've done motorwork and the higher compression requires it. My bike will ping on 93 (due to upped compression as a result of the cut head), hence I don't run it. Long as your bike isn't pinging you're all good.
Great video Richie. bwahahaha.

true, thats what I'm worried about though pinging in hot weather. But I don't have much time on a 4stroke so I'm just paranoid. don't wanna get into 800 dollar rebuild

Hot Day Hypothetical Theory
-----------------------------
95 degrees
Start motard
Warm motard up for 5 minutes
Go out for practice
Bike is pinging
Pull off track
Walk over to VP guy
Buy higher octane
Pour in tank
Bike stops pinging
HIGH FIVE!!
Yes. You are being paranoid. 4-strokes aren't as blow-upable as the fucktards on Thumpertalk will have you believe. You don't even have to adjust the valves every 10 minutes!!
Boston --> San Diego
well thats where my original question comes in, I could already have sunoco race fuel sitting in a jug ready to put in

aha yes! my other bike likes it better so I would probably have some...

also, your theory above doesn't work because you cant mix gases at all, needs to be totally drained.

We are having our officials meeting at the banquet. As soon as I have info about the fuel rules, I'll post it up.
