So, with all the new racers and everyone talking about being happy or discouraged with their times, I went back and took a look at mine for giggles. Apparently I took a second in my rookie race..... but at the bottom it says I left with the wrong wave. I don't recall either of those things happening, oh well.

My rookie race was uneventful & my times were up near the 1:37-40 range....
But I had an awesome battle in my first ptwins race with Biggles & Tom Joyce.Man, what a rush that was. Came from behind, passing both of them in turn 3, first biggles, then Tom, and took first place with a best of 1:29.3.... The three of us finished within .5 seconds of each other with The Fat One just one second behind us!

*The deal was, if I won the Rookie Race I'd have to wear "douchebag" across my helmet for the rest of the season. I decided to slide into 2nd and cruise.

I read em all. Just awesome reading. It was like I was there. Hey, I was. Still am too. Just as enthused as ever. Thanks All!!
hmm, not sure what my rookie race time was, but i did blow turn 3 on the second lap, motarded up the beach and jumped the curb back onto the track.
my first ever real race was MWSB on the buell. i had an awesome, full race long, 3 way battle with 2 other rookies in order to avoid last place. (i finshid 3rd from last, but it sure felt like i won) it was freakin sweet.
best time that weekend was a 1:36 something.
no prior track experiance.
I guess my 1:30 first time out on the SV wasn't so bad afterall??

My first race I got off the bike and said to myself " Holy Cow, I never went so friggin fast ever in my life. That's crazy". A 1:35.

We swapped positions 3 time on the last lap. He got me at the S/F line by .086 seconds on his big Duc 800. My 50 hp VS 75-80hp. I brought a jack knife to a gun fight.

be interesting to compare these times to people's PB's and when they set them... see how long it took to get there.
