1. NJMP Thunderbolt
2. Calabogie
3. Grattan
3. NHMS
I had so much fun at Thunderbolt a few weeks ago I couldn'tnot put it at 1.
Bogie might have been 1 had I not run it with the shit show that TPM did. 4 groups on a 3 mile 20 turn track
Grattan is just so much fun especially with the group I run there with every year. I'd give it more technical points than NHMS. Pavement looks like junk but its actually no problem really, a little bumpy for some people but for a superlightweight like me itthey're no problem. Only ran it backwards for half a day but I liked clockwise better.

You always see posts of guys renting fancy cars and other nonsenses to get laid. Its Vegas if you cant get laid just quit life.
I rented a bike and did a trackday.. Now thats a vacation in a vacation in a vacation
track was ok, but the facilities.. Never seen better, but then again It is Vegas
I'd like to try Monticello and Mid Ohio next but its a safe bet the next new track i do will be Jersey

Updated for Thunderbolt . . .
11. Pocono East - unlikely to go back now that the new kid (NJMP) is in town.
10. Firebird, AZ (West) - smooth and fast and a blast to try on Code's 636.
9. VIR Patriot - Loudon's counterpart in the south, with smoother pavement.
8. Lightning - Had the slipper clutch installed just in time to take on T7.
7. Grattan counter-clockwise - Looks like poop but quirky and fun as all get-out.
6. Grattan clockwise - Still looks like poop but still quirky and fun as all get-out. But 17 hours is a long ride home with broken ribs . . .
5. VIR Full - holy acorns! but fun! fastest speeds that my 749s ever hit were here.
4. Thunderbolt - fast AND technical . . . can't wait to go back.
3. Loudon - I wish I knew how to quit you. I love this little bitch!!
2. Barber - smmoooth, but too easy to keep you honest (e.g. you can screw up and still be fine . . . less incentive to nail every turn perfectly.)
1. Calabogie - still. the. best. ever.
I think after getting a little more familiar with Thunderbolt next year, it might move up to the #3 spot.
In 2010 . . . maybe Monticello full course?? For people who have done it, where does Monticello rank on your list?

This thread popped into my head for some reason tonight. Thought I'd breath some life into it but I'm too fuckin tired to make reviews on my own list right now.
1 NJMP Thunderbolt
2 VIR North
3 NHMS
4 Monticello North
5 Monticello 66
6 VIR South
7 NJMP Lightning (in the rain for 10 laps. Couldn't get a decent feel for it but it needs more turns)
8 Center garages racing Peter Kates on Gerards XR70
Haven't met a track yet that I don't like.

Roebling Road -- fast turns, 1/2 mile straight
Moroso -- my old "home" track. Hot and humid. Run off area included swamp with 'gators.
Daytona -- banking is awesome
Watkins Glen -- armco, otherwise excellent

OK, I'll update my ratings best to worst...
1. NJMP Thunderbolt- fast, flowing, great runoff, high apex speeds, long corners, one technical decreaser
2. Beaver Run- short, bumpy, but fast, crazy off-camber, downhill run onto the fassst back straight into the 5th gear kink. Yeeehaw!
3. Loudon- pretty kacked up now as far as flow, but still a classic. Looks more dangerous since riding NJMP
4. Willow Springs- Fast T8,9 complex is unique experience. Great runoff, but Turn 5 ditch not inviting, not technical at all.
- Calabogie
- VIR North
- Monticello South
- VIR South
- NJ Thunderbolt
- Monticello '66'
- Loudon/NHMS
- Barber
- Beaver Run
- Summit Point Main
- Summit Point Patriot
Above is based strictly on the track...all else being equal. If I were to include 'distance/time' to get there it would be a bit different....Loudon/NHMS would move to the top for example..!

Man, I need to get out more, some of you have ridden an impressive amount of tracks.
1. Barber
2. NHMS
3. Storrow
LRRS 878 Clapped out Gixxah
1. Calabogie - hands down my favorite. Great mix of high speed and technical, incredible pavement quality, great staff.
2. VIR Full Course - Great elevation changes, great mix of technical and quick stuff
3. Mont-Tremblant - This course if fast. Really fast. Not high speed long straights but real sweepers and wide open corners type stuff and the fast guys really move. Pavement is great, area is great, facilities are minimal.
4. VIR North - I love it but the pavement is really showing its age. Lots of cracks, bumps, transitions etc.
5. Thunderbolt -
6. Mid-Ohio - Fun but short
7. VIR - South - haven't been in a few years so cant really compare
8. Walmart parking lot
9. NHMS

VIR North / NHMS = tie.
I really like VIR North, but need to spend more time there. Turn 4 gets real slippery when wet. NHMS is obviously flawed, but I am comfortable there.
OVRP / Pocono East = tie.
Oakland Valley Racepark is a kart track with crappy surface, lots of concrete patches. Very tight, but works for a bike like a TTR125 or a CRF150R. The road only course kind of sucks on the underpowered TTR, but the supermoto course is fun. No real challenges, and in the middle on nowhere. Kind of a pain in the ass to get to. Probably won't go back now that the ME track is open.
Pocono East doesn't really offer anything. I went for free on a work trip, and it was good for testing a bike, but I wouldn't pay to go there. The lack of elevation makes the track uninteresting. If I remember correctly, it only has 2 right hand corners, and you pretty much stay hung off on the left for most of the track.

Yes there is a very small road course inside the oval at PPIR. Its pretty lame, lap times in the 50something second range.
YouTube - 2004 AMA Superbike seriesVideo from the 04 Superbike races.
I raced there in 2005 for Corona Suzuki Team as a fill in rider when Tony Miering got suspended from the team.

1. Motorsports Ranch Cresson TX - Technical, not many elevation changes, on the slower side, creases on track so dont run across seams in mid turn on high lean angles.
2. Motorsports Ranch Houston TX - Tight and no elevation change, couple long straightaways, not very technical, slow in general
3. Eagles canyon raceway Slidell TX - Very technical, elevation changes, fast and flowing, smooth.
4. NHIS Loudon NH - technical, elevation changes, intermediate fast, a bit on the bumpy side but with good suspension settings, very manageable.
