First of all let me say.... THANK YOU to all of those that participated in the race program last year. Being a newcomer to New England, I really found a niche with you guys. Gerard, Degsy, Jay, Chris J, Ed, Mark, you guys are all top notch. The chance to be a part of this has given me memories and stories I will never forget.
Which makes the second part even tougher. I have taken a job with a Kawasaki R&D shop in Pueblo, Co. (say it Jay.....Pueblo). It's not much, but it's a foot in the door to AMA racing, which to those of you who know me, is my dream. The shop is located 1 1/2 miles from Pikes Peak and is within 3 hours from two other tracks. (Steamboat Springs and Rocky Mountain Raceway)
It was a tough call, NESR is on the road to stardom, literally. I encourage any of you who have the slightest notion of getting involved with racing to hook up with these guys. You will not find a better group of peeps. I have been around motorcycles and race teams my entire life, and all I can say is that these guys are going places...
I'll be checking in on the board from time to time and who knows, when you guys hit the big time, I'll see ya at the races...![]()
Over
Sorry to see the both of you leave, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck in everything that you do.
Degs
Don't think you are getting rid of us that easy... We will see you at pikes peak in a couple of years...right Degs...and when we do show up, we will have a blue towel waiting for you in the NESR Racing pit, there is always a wrench there for you to turn..... Hope you succeed in all your ventures professional as well as personal.
Peace....
P.S If we start racing the "Green Machines" I expect some trick shit to happen to show up at the track from a "Rabid" friend in CO..![]()

Bill,
Grab it by the horns Dude!
I've been very lucky in my life to be in certain places, meet important people, learn things, and be able to use equipment that most would never get their hands on. Good Luck, and remember, The only stupid question, is the one that's not asked.......
Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
Good luck man!
It wont be the same not hearing that word with the crinkled nose![]()

Your services and friendship will surely be missed, Bill. You've made a very important decision, but it's one that could better your life and your desires in every way. You brought something to the pits those last few weekends that are irreplaceable, and it'll be difficult - if not impossible - to replace that type of enthusiasm and knowledge...
You and Jess's departure will be felt deeply amongst many here at NESR. Anyone involved with either of you in any aspect have a lot to lose with your decision. But the respect for that decision is strong. You've made the right call, I'm sure...
Everyone in the Stonner household is sad to see ya'll go. I'll tell you what...![]()
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Bill- only metcha the once (at the endurance race), but you've been a positive, integral part of NESR for as long as I've been around here. gonna be a shame to see you go, on the one hand. on the other, I know what it's like to have irresistible opportunities yank you away from where you are... and it's always good, on one level or another. hope that this gig is all you're lookin' for (for now)... and YOU GO, GIRL!!!![]()

Not really sure what to say. I can say that i have learned more in my life about bikes the two times i was at the track last year then in my life combined, and YOU were a big part of that!!!
One more thing....DONT EVER forget about the 12 min teardown of the racebike in the endurance race!!! that was unbeliveable and will NEVER be forgotten........
