Manny, a slick that's a few degrees below operating temp will likely have just as much traction as a DOT that's at operating temp.

Run slicks if you you wanna run slicks, use warmers if you wanna use warmers... Experiment & find out what works best for you... but for God's sake, stop being so anal :D
