Does anyone have a steering stem spanner nut tool/socket for a Gen 1 SV that I can borrow? I really don't want to attack it with a hammer and screwdriver. Will pay shipping both ways, pick up in Southern NH, or bribe with Wiha technicians tools.

I think they're the same for the GSXR. I have one, but a garagemate in VT has it. If you want, I can forward you his contact info to see if he'll ship it.

Thanks guys, I ordered a cheapo spanner wrench and a guy from LRRS FB is sending his socket to borrow.

Jamie C. #535 generously sent his special socket. I had already ordered this spanner wrench as a back-up. For $14.95 and free shipping it works perfectly and is a no-brainer compared to the $80. factory tool.
