No ride for me. I'll be up there to watch on Saturday, and give Oxx a gas tank. The Husky is still blown up. If someone has a supermoto setup for a KTM, I could quickly convert my 520SX for the task.

Its a damn shame. I was looking forward to the motard race this year. Looks like all my co-conspirators arn't going to be in it anyways.

After riding supermoto for a year, all I can say is "Don't believe the hype". I rode cut slicks, and regular slicks at OVRP and E-Town. The traction was the exact same. I'm no Micky Diamond, but I'd say run pilot powers, or the Michelin supermoto tires. Don't worry about all the dirt on the track and your tires when you get off the dirt section. Just goose it. It'll stick.

So standard slicks or DOT's then? Works for me. I'm not dropping cake on a brand new set of rubber for one race.

Go with DOT's. Easy on the front brake. It'll be a washing machine anywhere your not on asphault.

If the tires are no good for you to race on I don't think I'll want to run them. KB has tires, if not I'll chip in on a new set. I'll think of another payment for the use of my bike....you ever seen 'Indecent proposal'

i took them off when i put rains on then i just bought new ones. Dunlop guy says they are great. i also brought him some slicks and told me they were junk and gave me another used set. i bet he could find you a good set of tires in his pile. he says that these guys with too much $$ change tires every weekend whether they need to or not. kinda like Heath.
