Anyone have an opinion on which exhaust is better on the sv650,full system or slipon. yoshi versus m4 what works best what doesn't work well ?This is for a 99 sv going on the track ?![]()
leave it stock. no reason to upgrade it.
I ran a stock system on my 02 sv last season.
best lap time was 1:20.
I have run a slip-on for 3 years now, i just cut it short, and mounted it so it would not come off in a crash. I have not bought a full system due to price.
i have one opinion....
are you ready?
here it is...
STAY AWAY FROM MICRON!!!!
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

ok now that that is out of the way. if youre talking trackdays only then stock will work. thats whats on my g/f track SV. im running a Micron header (hi mount) with a Holeshot muffler. my experience is this.
2 Bros.- JUNK. crappy fit and finish
Yosh- nice but pricey and ugly (imo)
Micron- mufflers are junk..i went through 4
MIG- blew that muffler up too
Holeshot- so far so good. its lasted longer than the others. im sending it back for a rebuild (twins eat packing). price isnt bad with them either. if you call them chances are you can talk to the owner of the company (Dale)

OXXXX Take that bored out sv1000 engine out of your bike and put the old 650 back in and you will not have problems. just my 2 cents
I was looking at a Leo Vanceor the Scrorpion hi mount? durability- fit and finish anyone? Also I'm pretty big 6'4" and was curious if I might have problems of room for my big feet with a high mount pipe I already have OSF rear sets and it appears a hi mount comes close to the back side of right side peg, Any input would be helpful?
you will most likely hit it with your foot. you could always put heat wrap on that part to prevent meltage. the advantage to the hi mount is the pass peg bracket takes the hit and not the muffler.
