I FUCKING BUMPED!!!!
edit: Sweet!:drink:
Bumping to am. Congrats
Gino was in on it. I had asked his opinion and he said go for it!! I really wanted to race with all you guys before some of you went off to Expert. i also didn't want to be the only novice left in our pits!
I got the ok from Don last week and told Gino who thought keeping it a secret would be a good idea so he lambasted me in that thread to throw you guys off!
Yellow and Black baby!!
Gino is gonna kill me for letting this go.
Hahah....I was wondering a little with that thread...
I thought it seemed a little over the top for him (maybe coming from KB...)
Way to go dude...so what are you running??
:woot: :drink::drink::drink::drink::drink:
yellow-n-black :shredder: !!!!
:beerbang:
So should he bring the cheater bike or run the AM champ "straight up" with the hawk?!
Awesome!!! Kick ass in AM!!!
I am definately using the cheater bike!
The only thing that would make this sweeter is if we had ALL of the turn 1a pits up and running... Scott you wanna use my Hawk?
Gotta post up my email to Don and his response.
"Mr. Hutchinson,
My name is Michael Lemire. I am currently a Novice #116 in LRRS. I am writing to inquire about the possibility of bumping up to Amateur for the last race weekend and to plead my case.
I started racing this year at the age of 37 on a 1988 Honda Hawk GT. With the help of many individuals, 11 completed races, one DNF due to a mechanical issue (A race I was leading by a large margin) and a bunch of trackdays under my belt I am now at a point where I am confident of my ability to "hold my line" and remain safe and competitive in the Amateur class. I have consistently dropped my best lap time by at least 2 seconds a weekend and continue to improve.
The September race weekend further cemented this for me when I rode consistent lap times in the 1:23-1:24's and took 2nd place in Novice LWSB
on my new to me Ducati 750ss. This was my first weekend off the Hawk and the Ducati has increased my confidence ten fold (I have ridden a 900ss on the street for many years). Comparing my race times with those of the Amateur class show that I may have placed 3rd in the Amateur race.
My Index is a little low to officially advance. I believe this is partly because of my DNF when I would have finished 1st and that I finished a few races when others may have pitted in to "save" their index. I feel that the track time was more valuable than "saving" my index.
For the last race weekend I would like to bump out of Novice so that I can experience the Amateur class before next season, race with friends that will be bumping up to Expert or have recently bumped to Amateur and mostly I would like to get out of Novice because of the very new riders that are there each weekend. I believe it would ultimately be safer in the Amateur class.
In closing I am not in this for trophies or speed. I am in it for the fun and camaraderie I have experienced this year. I thank you for providing such a fine organization and I hope to become an even bigger part of it in the future.

*** His Response***
"Michael,
OK for Amateur.
Don"
:woot:
You'll look back and wonder why people don't bump as soon as they possibly can after you race with the big boys!!!
Advice: Don't race against the other riders, race against the track. You race your own race and you'll do fine.
I'm trying to get up there for final race weekend.
degs
I will most definately take that advice!
I am just in it for the experience. I can come in last for all I care... Just gonna ride my own ride and have a blast.
I thought of staying in Novice and collecting some wood but I figured it would be ultimately safer in AM. Plus I wanna run with my boys in 1a!
Glad you were talked into running ULSB Puppet!!!
Scott... The offer stands... I understand about the not wrecking it part though... Can't wait for next year with you dude!!
congrats and good luck sir!:beerbang:
Congrats and good luck Doc.
I'll plan on swinging through the 1a pits and finally meeting some of you bastids. I'll keep an eye out for the cheater duck. :drink:
:wtf: :ass::evil::mope::madfrown::chair::poke::rant::devil::scream: :bash: :nono::hitler::wallbash::chicken::guns::sanchez::smash::decap::twisted: :whogives: :deathslap::spank:mad2::doh::kix::madfawk:mad::sad2::fuming::flush: :pigfucker: :stfu::axe::shutup::cross: :wtf:
I put my reputation (do I have one?) on the line so you could have a proper exhibition. Remind me to never tell you a secret !!!
Maybe this is a ploy to get his spirits up so he can win a NV race? :teehee:
I told you guys he was gonna kill me.
Gino... the more I thought about it the more I thought I wsn't gonna be able to pull it off. This is pretty much the same thing... Maybe even better since pulling out of the trailer with yellow platres on it seemed a little anti climatic
But Doc, wait a second, how are you gonna steal my dollar if we're in different races? Guess my final goal for the year will be achieved easier than I thought.
Congrats dude
congrats man ... best move you could have made
running in AM is so much more fun than NV ... even when I was battling for last place it was alot of fun!
Good luck out there!
